First place for me.. Golden eye was the beginning of my FPS gaming and it was amazing, plus i was spamming it sophomore/junior years at college and it has a lot of nostalgic value attached to it. <3 it... aside from that, Battlefield II is my fav. "classic" pc fps. I always have it installed on my pc just in case i get the itch for it.

A teller at my branch has a rubber band about the size of a softball. she's had it for so long some of the rubber bands are dry rotting and breaking.

I'm going to ....torrent it... which means im probably stuck to the single player campaign

Sounds BEASTLY. As far as needing to upgrade any time soon (eg. the next two years) I HIGHLY DOUBT you would need to upgrade anything in that rig. I'm running a XFX 9800 GTX 512 mb GPU/AM2 dual core athalon 2.8/XFX geforce 8200 MoBo/4gb(3 detected) RAM windows XP 32bit, and I've been wanting to upgrade it for months now, def. dont go for a 8800 video card, while it will be a night and day upgrade from your current rig, you should really go for the higher end stiff at this point. ... While this new rig won't be ***cutting edge*** it's damn close, and you will be extatic with it's performance. I wish your list was in my computer case Like Shad said, def. look at the solid state drive options since 7 is optimized for it. SSD technology is so awesome if the OS uses it correctly.

really?? do you have a HDTV cable box? I find people that are already used to watching HDTV aren't really that impressed with bluray. I on the other hand went from a 29" magnavox TV from 1994 to my 37" JVC 1080p about 2 years ago. i was like AMMMGG this is AWESOME!! and i have a nice 7.1 surround system set up so my viewing experience is pretty rad. but yeh i went from a fuzzy 480x600 resolution to 1080p lol However, not that it needs to be pointed out... but blu-ray is what it is, in that it's the only way to get 1080p HD movies. upconverted dvd's can't even come close. HDdvd didn't take off, so it' sthe only option for HD movies. The only way i can see someone not appreciating bluray amazingness, is if you are already accustomed to watching HD programming. BACON !! ---> im a big fan of pc gaming, but i am always an early adopter of new consoles (and their redic. pricetags) so i guilt myself into buying console games. I'll probably get borderlands for PS3.

blu ray support is far from yawn!! it's amazing esp. since HD DVD hit the fan (sry xbox). given the complete validity of the second portion of your comment, bluray was/is ps3's saving grace. Just like when people in japan and elsewhere were buying PS2's solely as a dvd player because they were cheaper than actual dvd players, so it is tru for the bluray. Even now, blue ray players can suffer from very laggy boot up and initializing time, which ps3 does not because it's OP. but yeh the game selectino and quality were a bit low considering the capabilities. But that's not sony's fault for being OP is it? im not sure how it works TBH but i give them kudos for building a ferrari even tho the speed limit is 55. and that ferrari plays bluray!! woohoo. looks sick on my LCD tv.

+3 I will be getting the game, but most likely for PS3. but i do have my quams.. my ps3 broke and i was lucky enough to have it break 3 weeks before my extended warranty ($75) ran out. the replacement... LACKED PS2 & PS1 support. wtf m8!!! i likes my xbox too tho. but ps3 bluray support takes the cake, i use and abuse that. I like goign to bestbuy and looking at blurays while all the dino's look at dvd's.. muahahaha i am the geeksquad I just completely lol'd my ass off at work. tyvm

yeah i cant wait to pick it up. i have a multiple hard drive set up, so backing up and wiping my OS drive (due to my current XP installation) won't be a problem during upgrade. also... check out Google's Picasa program. it's a really awesome photo editing/organizing/sharing suite. it does all that and has a service like shutterfly, to make and share online albums.

I came back from jamaica with some cigars. they looked cuban, smelled cuban, tasted (no idea, i dont smoke em), COSTED cuban.. but the receipt said jamaican cigars... *wink wink* Silly trade embargo. I dont think its so much of a big deal unless you are buying large amounts for resale. I remember kids in college ordering seeds from Amsterdam, and they actually showed up in their campus mailbox. lol probably got them on some gov't list, but they still made it through. /Bump.. Thanks shiki, however......... I actually ended up pre-purchasing the full version because i liked it so much... =D If anyone really enjoyed DoTA, then you may want to grab this. The game play is DoTA based and they actually have one of the designers of DoTA giving the OK to model the game after it. They said there a few bottlenecks with basing a game around a custom map from another game (dota - WC3) so this is for people that want the full capabilities of a dedicated game in the DoTA style. so if anyone is interested and loved DoTA.. let me know. , i may have a beta key loeftover..

new RPG/FPS coming out 10/20/09. looks to be really cool. levelling up system, weapon upgrades, mutiplayer co-op. seems like a few elements from COD4 as far as experience and upgrades are concerned. The thing im really liking about it is that some of the graphics are cel shaded. i'll be doing multi on PS3 since my 360 is being held hostage by a friend

The sig generator in Revenge's link is down at the moment due to WoW maintainance.. i got this one to work at www.zetbit.com seems pretty cool, although it's the generic. but still decent. i really want a custom one still.

Obviously none of us are old enough to remember this from personal experience, however... at one point seat belts were not even in cars, let alone a law to force you to wear them. I would bet a million dollars this same type of discussion happened when the government made a law penalizing us if we were caught not wearing them. Gov't stepping in: seatbelts - negative: restricting personal freedom to not wear them. Positive: Saves lives etc etc etc etc Cigarettes - negative: restricting personal freedom to smoke them. Positive: Saves lives etc etc etc etc The only reason givernment is dragging their feet enforcing this, is because it would put a huge hurting on their pocketbook. simple. I understand the personal choice thing, I REALLY DO. but in essence you are arguing a personal choice to poison and kill yourself slowly through intake of carcinogens & suicide is illegal. lol yes i know it is an extreme analogy.. but still.. it's not exactly off base.
