Inspired by the music thread, I thought one about books may be good. Post whatever you may be reading now, or recently. That's just untrue. Your view: you need to be able to play really well to be considered talented in music. My view: you need to actually be able to sing to be considered talented in music. In you music, people don't sing, they scream, so i view that as less talented. In my music, they don't play as hardcore on the instruments, so you view them as less talented. Get off the musical high-horse thinking your music is better simply because they 'always' write their own songs and play an instrument well. Let me put it like you: "Don't get me wrong, I wish I could be a death metal musician. I could learn to play the guitar and scream my lungs out on stage and have people think I'm edgy, cool, and creative for assloads of money".

But...what about the changes to druids in the patch? Won't more buttons on the screen help since you can click, say a heal, and auto shift out and do it ? I demand you use more buttons....mostly since I have to. Edit: Other than that, looks really nice

Couldn't have said it better. Oh, and a *lot* of country musicians do write their music, at least in part (like 1 of 2 or 3 writers), I'm not sure where you got the idea that 'most' don't.

*shrug* The guitar sounds good, but the growled out lyrics are just weird to me. You're comparing apples to orange. Death Metal, I assume, is about the instruments, while country is all about the lyrics. You see your version of talent, I see mine. Thinking country musicians can't sing or all have shaky voices is an example of the ignorance people have towards country music. Some can't, and they're inevitabley less popular, with a few exceptions (Hank Williams Jr. for an example....not a great singing voice, but has lyrics people like, so he remains popular in spite of the fact. Personally I dislike him). Others, like Garth Brooks, have some of the largest fan bases of any musician(s) in history, ever. You need talent for that. I'm not a fan of rap. However, there are some quality rap songs that get less playtime because they don't have the right 'image', so all you hear on the radio are the stereotypical ones. Agree to disagree.

Why? France has national health care and it's among the best in the world. It costs the government a lot, but they are already working on ways to fix that. Are you just against the idea of it, or think that we can't pull it off right? Admittedly, I am concerned about the latter.

That's pretty much what I meant regarding abortion. I don't feel it's 'right', but under some extenuating circumstances it may be necessary. I am just sick of seeing people sleep around, getting pregnant, then running to a clinic to destroy a life. Also, when there are thousands of couples out there looking to adopt and have families, I just think there are infinitely better options.

The new leveling speed thing is good, as I am an alt-a-holic who has too little time to play as it is. No to the stromgarde change! That was always fun with a group. I enjoyed the elite quests, and want them to remain!

I'm just curious, is your Thanksgiving the same kind of deal as for the US? Ours is all about being thankful for what we have, and based on a tradition started by pilgrims in the harsh first few years of colonization. Same deal?

In general, I'm fairly conservative, however, I really dislike what republicans have become. Ron Paul has some great things to say, but some crazy things to say, so I couldn't vote for him. I suppose I would support Hillary, but not because I really want to, but because there aren't any better choices? I imagine most of you would feel the same...and isn't that sad? We have to choose the person who we think sucks the least? What I would look for in a candidate: 1: Stop the war, and bring the troops home in a reasonable time. It was mentioned that none of the candidates thought that they could bring a full withdrawl inside of 5 years....wtf? 2: Somebody who understands that what goes on in the middle east is none of our business. We are not the policemen of the world. We shouldn't act alone, that's why we have the UN. 3: STOP GIVING BIG CORPORATIONS TAX BREAKS. It kills me inside. I don't have a link to the source, but I was reading other day, that if large corporations were paying the same tax percentages as they were 50 years ago, the entire budget deficit would be gone. 50 years ago, taxes from large corporations made up a full 1/3 of the revenue, today it is less than 10%. 4: Stem cell research... I support the research done, I really do. However, I hate the idea of harvesting stem cells. Creating life only to destroy it for research is horrific to me. (I am also against abortion incase you were wondering ). But there are other methods for getting stem cells (bone marrow and such) that I believe are great and worth while to explore. 5: Death penalty: Our justice system is flawed. The legal expression goes "better to let 10 guilty people go free, then to convict innocent man." I believe that to be true. However, I can't say that if something were to happen to a family member or friend of mine that I would argue that the person should live in prison. If we had something more similar to 'solitary confinement in a very small room for life' as opposed to the death penalty, I would be all for it. There is also the issue of guard safety to consider. Someone who is facing consectutive life sentences without the possiblity of parole has no qualms about killing guards, since there are no consequences. 6: Remove the 'no child left behind act'. Stop basing school funding on local tax revenues. That's what causes such variation in school quality. 7: Universal health care ftw. Oh, forgot: 8: Time to go green.

Here's an idea.... It's about a Canadian forum goer, who is too lazy to do his homework for class. Let's call him Brotas. During his day, he goes on various zany adventures within the online community, trolling various websites. You as the user, get to control this character and embark on this wild ride. You get points for post count, misspelled words, and random internet lingo, like "ne1". Man...I should be a game developer.

That was Bib 2 weeks ago. True story.

Heh thought of more. -Silver was very hard to come by for me. I was so happy to be able to afford weapon training, I spent almost all that I had. Back when it was Knights of Anubis the guild was accepting donations from members to get a guild tabard, so I donated 5 silver, 1/2 of what I had. I then later saw some people donated gold, and I was astounded as to how they could have that much. -Shortly after I got my non-epic mount, I ran around the world exploring. I ran into blasted lands way too early, but saw the dark portal and the demons guarding it. I thought it was an instance, so I figured I can just run as close as possible, bubble, and get in there. No such luck. Ran through the portal and died horribly. I went from 100% to 0% trying to get my body back, because I didn't want res sickness.
