When I got my first mountain bike, I was amazed at all the options. Changing gears...the curly handle bars...and look...another set of brakes! I thought I would be able to stop faster with the front ones... I flipped over the handle bars and landed with my lag sliding on some rocks. The cut didn't look too deep but just kept bleeding, but I didn't get stitches or anything. I have a scar there now Back in 6th grade or so, I went on a first date with a girl from one of my classes and took her to Great Escape (a 6 Flags-esque amusement park near me). Well we were walking and talking and such, and I walked straight into a massive light pole that they have in the middle of the paths. After getting a bandage at the aid station there, we resumed the date ^There are many such incidents like that where I walk into things. I was in class talking to a few friends, and one was discussing that their friend Sarah was having a baby soon. Shortly thereafter another woman sat down, and I noticed her stomach and said "Oh! Congratulations Sarah! When is it due?" She was apparently, not Sarah, and not pregnant.

Clearly, pirates win. I mean, under any given circumstance a pirate > ninja. But these ninjas are so bad, you can actually see them. No contest.

Pure awesome. So much better than the crap kids watch these days... And I'm pretty sure I had a regular Nintendo game for each of those cartoons.

I concur. Cheesecake has a crust, which is a common (perhaps defining) characteristic of pie. Also noteworthy is the pie-like shape. Just because it has cake in the name, doesn't make it a cake. A shoehorn isn't exactly a musical instrument.

Psionic Storm > zerg. True story. Regardless, what really looks appealing is that players will need the versatility of the different races. I.e. you need to make different types of units and really play strategically instead of massing carriers/cruiser/zerglings, etc. Can't wait.

I don't know about anyone else, but after playing SSBM for years, I can say it's the least button-mashing fighter I've ever played. That's including soul calibur, DOA (all off them), Tekken, etc... Sure if you don't know what you're doing you're gonna mash it, but that's with any game. I don't think we're going to agree here, since there's clearly a divide: you prefer the 1v1, 'oldschool', combo-linking fighters, I and others here prefer 'party game', the simple controls, and ultimately what we see as more complex gameplay (weapons + environments + keeping track of 3 other players = more complex imo), etc... So when this semester is over, I'm probably buying a Wii for Brawl. xD

I haven't followed the hype of the game since I don't have a Wii, so I'm not sure exactly how people are raving...but Super Smash Bros. Melee was my vote for greatest fighter ever. Why? It was simplistic and a blast to play with friends. What would make something better? I am tired of the tekken/soul calibur/mortal combat methodolgy of fighting games where you have to memorize 30 button combos to the point where it becomes mindless mashing. I digress. I was honestly considering getting a Wii just for this game, but I'm not sure it's worth it. Coming from a Game Cube for Melee, are the controls weird? I know the Wii has some weird controller. Is the game good enough to merit a Wii?

No. If we have to try and make the mission less complicated by allowing someone to die, we're not ready for it. Giving your life for a heroic cause (to save another, for example) is one thing, to do it to say "FIRST!" is just odd...to me at least.

I can't wait for Spore. I didn't realize they had set a release date, and now....I just want it to be September. Oh, and Medal of Honor: Rising Sun wasn't that bad if you did multiplayer.
