Post: hello prophets! it is i, klakla, your neighborhood cat chaser with some exciting news. i have recently gotten a tattoo. now normally as modest as i am i wouldn't make a post about this...... so blame hv. and i've been playing lately so don't act like you don't know me! anyway here it is: http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y113/x_marksthespot/tattoo.jpg and now, to answer hv's original questions... i got it done at skinwerks in carrollton [thanks usagi!] by jenn, who was totally awesome and has a really neat design look type thinger. its based off artwork from clandestine which was an artbook produced by AFI, my most favorite band of all time. they mean a lot to me and have helped me get through a lot so i promise you it is not "another band tattoo", it has a lot of meaning behind it! i have a billion ideas for what else i want, however i fear disown-ment from my immediate family so no full sleeves in the near future heh. i'm hoping for a half sleeve of more artwork from clandestine at the least, and most likely some stuff otherwhere, including but not limited to: sanskrit phrase, heraldry type lion, hmmm... sigil of the baphomet! scene of valhalla! ancient runes! i dunno, i'll think of some other cool stuff along the way. i don't think i could get away with something immediately death related though so we'll see. anyway thanks for watching and i hope you all enjoyed. kobah for mayor 08!

I'm gonna attempt to jump on this! So let us remember that a good number of metal bands have both a vocalist and a guitarist and its pretty rare to see someone shred and scream at the same time [that is, being the only person in the band doing so]. Whereas country singers are typically either just singers, or singer/guitarist. If we are discussing skill levels here, theres a difference in being able to play the guitar versus being able to sing. It's relative to what a listener looks for in music of course, but theres a certain level of respect necessary for people who are able to play guitar excellently, as well as people who can reach every possible [vocal] note. Also, metal doesn't immediately equal screaming. C'mon FP, I know we've all been playing Guitar Hero lately - you can't tell me Dragonforce isn't some serious OWNAGE, and you can immediately make out their lyrics. [for those who haven't- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c3H4liC2sWg] Anyway, music is a wide field of course and there are different approaches to talent in the underground as well as with major record labels - as HV said, the higher you go up the less likely it is your music is "yours" and yours only. And as the majority of people in America like country and rap, its easier to gain popularity. There's always an entire creative team behind any popular artist, who have the job of producing each track and editing it as they see fit. Popular artists often get to work with the best producers who have a shitton of experience so they know exactly what works and what doesn't. Metal bands don't always have that luxury because they aren't anywhere near as popular [whens the last time you saw a metal song hit #1 on the charts?] so often its just the actual band and a few unknown producers working on the album.

Awesome. As they are arguably the most famous ghost photos ever taken, a lot of them have been examined countless times for fraud and no evidence has turned up, especially in the case of the brown lady photo. The one about the kids who died at the railroad tracks... its said that if you park your car on the tracks, your car will suddenly be "pushed" off them. Then if you get out and look at the rear bumper there will be little hand prints all over it. Very cool.
