  1. Amusing bit at the end about Oregon Geek Squads getting their F's covered up. Fun and games with statistics! Oh, and I'm confused about the virus bit. They weren't going to be detecting any viruses with the HDD unplugged, so did they plug it in and then charge $580 for "repairing" it? That's not incompetence, that's fraud...
  2. Awesome - Congrats! Post a link to your monitor - That sounds dead sexy!
  3. Just to go against the grain with a note of positivity - I'm still up for raiding, when not playing ball or w/e!
  4. :'( </3 Good luck Key! It was a pleasure raiding with you. Don't be a stranger!!
  5. Yet when I follow that link, all it wants to do is try to merge my WoW account to my Battle.net account. (And it wants me to click a link on an email I didn't receive.) It's brokez!
  6. I don't believe that trash really drops epics. "10%" pshh - It's a lie. Like the cake!

    GARNOK!

(first link has been "removed by user") Epic. "going for the jugular" ftw!
  8. I actually agree RTSing makes more sense. But if those drops go to RTU with the understanding that they must be immediately equipped, that's no biggie. As long as the rules are rock-solid clear and consistently applied (and hopefully nice and simple), it's probably OK. If you start doing stuff on the fly with obvious (or even any possibility of) favoritism, it's all going to collapse. As soon as I hear stuff like "Such-and-such is going to Jim, because he's been waiting for it for a long time" or "Officers get priority on all loot" or something like that, I sense that train headlight coming down the tunnel. What about inscription books, JC recipies, the new tailoring recipies etc? They could go RTS, or they could go as an RTU, or they could be a free RTU (not counting against you if you roll for gear later) - Just make sure everyone knows ahead of time, since that stuff is worth hundreds of gold on the AH if it's BoE.
  9. Poor laptop will never sing again. Until it gets a new motherboard anyway, I suppose.
  10. I think FP raid rules were great, and I'll accept the 100g per RTE, payable to Fatherpeteus inc! Or if we aren't going to do that we'll need something different, so imo just do RTU mainspec and priority goes to the person(s) with the fewest previous RTU wins, followed by open RTE if nobody used RTU, followed by shard it and roll for the shards.
  11. One thought I had - If we are able to put something together with other guilds who don't do Uld25 at all, then Tues-Wed is great. But if we are hoping to swell our ranks with "PuGs" from big guilds who do have a guild group in progression, we'd have better luck scheduling later in the week when say one of the MTs from LiB missed their run and knows he isn't needed by his own guild. Of course, for the FP folks Tues/Wed is our comfort zone, so that's important too. Just a thought!
  12. WTF? Hosers don't have anything to do with self-interest! And how clumsy are we, if we can wrestle polar bears? Those bears are agile, trust me!
  13. Should have mentioned - It would definitely help to have someone along who actually knows the strats for the bosses... And the trash! Million-hp trash with fancy tricks, in a 10-man raid... Can be serious bzns! I'm sure people have different mindsets about this for their personal fun, but I'm happy for someone else to figure out where the raid should be standing.
  14. For comparison - Bright and Eria tanked a run last night with Breanna, Katalila and another tree healer, and five DPS who were all doing 3k+ dps with 10-man buffs... And we got two bosses down, one to ~30%, and one nowhere close (I gather most guilds have been skipping that one for their progression.) My repair bill was right around 200g. So rather than trying to figure out what the magic AP number is, I'd encourage you to look for people who have been seriously raiding 25-man Naxx, Sarth +D, etc..., and the gear level should be close to the "Epic" acheivement (25-man Naxx gear in every slot). That may seem harsh, but the thing is we don't know these fights yet. Trying to learn as you go plus the fights are just plain hard... Add in not really having enough gear to likely beat the enrage timers, and you'd kindof be wasting your time. So - Only serious raiders for now, please! (Until gear levels creep up and we figure out all the tricks with the new bosses. The fights are very creative!)
  15. I'm game, but from my initial experience with Ulduar I think your gear requirements are a bit low. A very skilled player on their lesser-geared alt makes up for a lot of course... But I would never take a 1700 spellpower healer to Ulduar unless I was really confident in them and knew of a good reason why they didn't have better gear than that yet. These early Ulduar bosses are no joke! So let's get a truly solid group together and rock it without getting frustrated because some aren't prepared. I could be available on Brightpetra (tankadin) or Fatherpeteus (holy priest). I have dps dual-specs, but can't figure out how to make shadow dps work yet!
  16. Heh yes - I have two action bars all along the bottom of my screen and two all along the right side (max vanilla UI action buttons) - And on most of my toons they are full of stuff. I keep the stuff I'm casting in combat mostly in the two bars on the bottom right, but they spill out - Especially on my Arcane mage who has an insane amount of cooldowns. (Sure, I have them consolidated into an uber Power Overwhelming macro, but I still want to see which ones are off cooldown at any given time.) Keybinds are all fine and all, but I simply play too many different alts to remember all the keys I would need quickly enough in the heat of the moment.
  17. For the first time in like a month, Authenticators are in stock at the Blizzard Store. I just got mine! The picture on the store looks different, so maybe their new shipment has different art. Last time I saw them they were gone before I could complete my order So don't dawdle if you need one! Hack-proof your account for $6.50 (+0.52 tax)! The "Canadian version" costs an extra $10 or so shipping, so I shipped mine to a friend who picks stuff up in NY. But those ones are in stock too!
  18. Titansteel, Moonshroud, etc... Better get back to crafting them every time they are up! The price will be spiking shortly due to the new craftable items using 20 Moonshroud (+6 of the new Runed Orbs from Ulduar) or etc. I may even find a market for my bags full or Eternals!
  19. Live today - Or so you claim! We'll see when the realms actually come up!
  20. Stang! Your sister is lovely! PS: You're a man of your word, and I appreciate you more than ever at this moment - lol
