Thanks Hykos for point out the obvious, but the Camaro and the firebrid (otherwise known as the F body in GM speak) have always been intimately related. The latter is usually a re-skinning of the former. With little modification you could repurpose the new Camaro platform into something to make Pontiac exciting. Or you could make a one off car for the show that's distinctive and interesting. What I'm trying to say is, KITT for me was a sleek aerodynamic car. A statement about what the car of tomorrow could resemble. The original show is one of the reasons I own the car that I do, and fell in love with the F body in all it's forms. The mustang, while amazing (a GT500 no less) and a fantastic car, seems a little to ... blah. I've seen so many of them that I'm bored with them. Besides that I'm not a fan of some of the mods they've done to make it 'look more KITT-like'. They just seem to ruin the lines of an already sweet car. IMO when we're talking a car like this: less should always be more as far as the exterior is concerned. I'm just not impressed at all with this thing. By the way you'll be able to buy 'that camero (dear god an 'e'?) from transformers' in 2009. I'll have one in my parking space by 2010. ^ ^
