Well that would have been useful back when I had my POS Inspiron and needed help with it. BTW it will still turn on and stuff. It turns on, the caps lock light flashes 10 times then turns off. That means a problem with the video card/display right?

Parents were footing the bill so I went with the 2 year without accidental protection. How long do I have to opt into a 4 year warranty with 4 years of accidental protection, or did I already blow it as far as that's concerned? And how in the hell long have you worked for Dell?

Yeah. My warranty is shot on that system, it's over four years old. I did have to call and talk to their tech support overseas once... for six hours... without getting a reply. I ended up sending their tech-support an angry e-mail. This was picked up by a VP of Tech Support or some other high-up that was here in the States. He got things fixed within a week. Damn that I lost his direct-line that he gave me. It was one of the few times I actually felt like they cared. I'm under the impression that the XPS systems have some sort of better warranty system seeing that they do on-site repairs after a diagnostic.

So I haven't popped in here in awhile. I figure it's about time that I drop in and say hello, find out how everyone is doing, etc. I also need help with something. I'll get to that in a minute. Things have been going good for me. I'm taking like 14 credits, still a Criminal Justice major and should be graduating at the end of next year with my bachelors plus a specialty in security management. I'm a Parking Supervisor at the MSU Dept. of Police and Public Safety so I get to have tons of fun being a complete and total jackass all day while getting paid for it. Me and the girlfriend are still together (sorry Stang), it's been a year and a half now so that's fun stuff. The sad part is I miss all of you. It's mvery difficult to keep in touch through just the forums, I'm so busy and it slips my mind to check in. Even when I do I find it difficult to jump back into things like I could when I was playing 24/7. A weak excuse but that's all I've got. Anywho, in addition to trying to find out how everyone's doing I'd also like a hand with something. Two weeks ago my faithful laptop died after over four years of near-constant use. A sad day indeed. I'm not sure exactly what went wrong with it but I believe it was an issue with either the display or the video card. When I push the power button the thing turns on but nothing appears on the screen. The caps lock light flashes 10 times then the machine shuts off. Anywho, I decided that the thing was falling apart anyway (I was having issues with the AC Adapter piece on the motherboard too) so I bought a new one. I went from a Dell Inspiron 5150 to a Dell XPS M1530. So far I'm impressed as hell with the XPS. The problem is the stuff on my old computer. I took it to Best Buy to see if I could get the stuff on the hard drive off of it (all the illegal music I ended up paying for the hard way). They said yeah but they charge $100.00 to do it. I said thanks, kindly gave them the finger and headed out the door (okay so I just snagged my comp and walked out but I totally imagined the finger part). My question is, is there a cheaper alternative to getting everything off of that hard drive and onto either my current computer or an external hard-drive if I need some sort of go-between? Oh. And finally, when WotLK comes out someone cast a damn scroll of resurrection on my account so I can come and hang out for a few days =p. Hugs and Kisses and /flirts to all of you. I started a sorc on USEast named Kelarie. Scrapes is playing too (some of you may remember him) so yeah. If anyone actually starts playing DII again look me up.

In response to the news of Diablo 3 I've had the overwhelming urge to start playing DII again. I think my old acct on there is deleted but I don't really care about that, I'll start fresh. Anywho, just seeing if there's anyone else who'd like to go kill a bunch of stuff with me. I'll figure out if my acct is still there after I get off work and if not I'll post my char names and that stuff.

In 3rd grade I was jumping on my grandma's couch. My foot suddenly went between the cushions and while toes were pointing down my little toe went straight into one of the springs while it was compressed, breaking my foot. Of course I didn't know it was broken at first. My grandma, being the tough woman she was, told me to quit being a wuss and "Walk it off". I tried, every time I took a step tears rolled down my face. I went and got the cane she had (I don't know why she had it, she wasn't more than in her 50's at the time and never had a use for it) and used it to hobble around the house. When my mom came to pick me up that day she FLIPPED out. My grandma kept telling her everything was fine but my mom insisted on taking me to the hospital. That's when the x-rays came and we found out I broke my right foot. My grandma felt a little bad, epically after watching me hobble around in a cast for 6 weeks in the middle of winter in Michigan. I had to wrap my foot in a plastic bag when I went to and from school and had indoor recess the whole time.

I ran into a Handicapp Parking Sign in 6th grade. Not on a bike, not in a car. I was running. And I ran into the sign. Oh. And not the flat part of the sign. The side of it. The thin, rusty part. I hit it so hard my feet flew out and my legs straddled the pole, I landed on my ass. My friend who was behind me was laughing until I stood up and turned around. I saw his face change from laughter to shock and I didn't understand why. That's when I realized my face stung a bit, I touched the side that hit the sign and pulled my hand back to look at it. It was completely covered in blood. I had to go to the hospital and have them check it out, all that stuff. It was too shallow to stitch but deep enough that they had to put the little butterfly bandages on it. Also they gave me this clear goop I had to put on it daily so it wouldn't scar. Did I mention that this was the beginning of 6th grade? Like... first week. I became known for it. Even years later in high school there were people who simply knew me as "That kid who ran into the sign."

Alright, so I've got like 3 months to plan this and unlike the last few times I think I might actually have the time, money and resources to make it down there. The only hitch is I'm supposed to go up to Marquette for Scrapes's birthday some time around July 16th but I don't think there's a set date for that yet... so... we'll see. Teh Dez may finally appear IRL.
