Start by keeping the side of the computer case off and see if that helps at all. Next vacuum the fan blades to make sure they are clean. Ensure that your case fans are working to drive air in a single direction through your case (typically front to back) and minimise any potential obstacles to that air flow such as cables.

It's always great to read about the real lives that go on behind the curtain of WoW. I'm sure it helps remind all of us that after 5 years of playing the same game, it's not really the game that keeps us playing but the people and relationships we forge because of it. -Toby

Given the prevalence of GMail users, might it be an idea to open up a group calendar on GCal for FP? Would anyone be interested in this?

If you're not adverse to the big G, then signing up for a GMail account gives you access to Google Calender. In my opinion, it's pretty damn great, and if you have any other family on it you can overlay each others calendars. (Great for scheduling family events).
