Because Dogs aren't given the option to fight or not like people are. So someone is ALWAYS going to stand up for them. Plus you have to breed and train them to fight, and people aren't really happy with all that. I really dislike dog fighting, but mostly cause it's just not fun to watch, and I wouldn't want to imagine my dog scraping with another dog. Accidental death and all that seems to really get under peoples skin too.
