Yea...the BBC version is much better. Leave it to Fox to create fake drama and suspense. And I'm boycotting the American Top Gear.

I've been thinking of changing the pwny forum theme...

The idea is cool...but on the PTR my human male only had the option of either human or blood elf male haircuts... Rather anti-climactic.

You guys are lucky. I'd be gkicked if I asked for hosting donations, lol. EDIT: Damn, I can't even get boob shots.

The shows that I've been recording and watching are Heroes, The Unit, Prison Break, Life, Fringe, Ramsay's Nightmares (BBC), Kitchen Nightmares, The Office, Smallville, Top Gear (BBC), Monk, 30 Rock (when it comes back) and we're trying out The Mentalist so far it's been ok. Kind of a combination of Monk and Life. Some of the stuff that my wife records and I watch from time to time are L&O: SVU, CSI: NY and CSI: Miami.

I'll be pissed if they put WPA security in this new one since they refuse to put it into the current DS.

Being extremely high is the only some-what valid excuse for eating one of those Applebee's Riblets...much less 19 of them.

They are also local to the DC area with 34 locations, which is nice.

Thanks for the info. Next Day Blinds makes their own shutters and blinds custom per order. Oh, and they have a 100-year warranty.

They wanted $120 a pop for each drop, it was insane. Yea, I'm thinking we're going to get our call for the pre-drywall inspection in the next 2 weeks or so.

This morning we met with our mortgage guy to give him all our latest paperwork so we're good to go for the mortgage. We drove down to the house to take some pics, all they've done is install the structured wiring and they added a drop that we didn't pay for. Oops. This is the company that's doing the structured wiring. http://www.iainburns.com/gallery/albums/2008_09_04/normal_IMG_2024.JPG They haven't put the wiring box in yet, but the cable is all there. http://www.iainburns.com/gallery/albums/2008_09_04/normal_IMG_2023.JPG Drop in the living room, multimedia tap (1 RG6 and 1 Cat5e terminated). http://www.iainburns.com/gallery/albums/2008_09_04/normal_IMG_2015.JPG http://www.iainburns.com/gallery/albums/2008_09_04/normal_IMG_2016.JPG Family room, telephone tap (1 Cat5e terminated for phone). http://www.iainburns.com/gallery/albums/2008_09_04/normal_IMG_2018.JPG Master bedroom, multimedia tap (1 RG6 and 1 Cat5e terminated for phone). http://www.iainburns.com/gallery/albums/2008_09_04/normal_IMG_2020.JPG Left bedroom, telephone tap (1 Cat5e terminated for phone). http://www.iainburns.com/gallery/albums/2008_09_04/normal_IMG_2021.JPG Right bedroom, telephone tap (1 Cat5e terminated for phone). http://www.iainburns.com/gallery/albums/2008_09_04/normal_IMG_2022.JPG The freebie, a second tap in the family room. http://www.iainburns.com/gallery/albums/2008_09_04/normal_IMG_2017.JPG http://www.iainburns.com/gallery/albums/2008_09_04/normal_IMG_2019.JPG Each of the blue cables carries 2xCat5e and 2xRG6 in that sheathing. The builder is only terminating what I specified above, but if I want to terminate the rest I just open the wall plate and terminate the rest myself.

That never gets old.

I'm using it to post this. I like it. A lot. It renders pages amazingly fast, way faster than IE7 or FF3.

8/31 cont. Gas hookup for range. http://www.iainburns.com/gallery/albums/2008_08_31/normal_IMG_2008.JPG http://www.iainburns.com/gallery/albums/2008_08_31/normal_IMG_2010.JPG Gas hookup for furnace. http://www.iainburns.com/gallery/albums/2008_08_31/normal_IMG_2011.JPG Ceiling fan rough-ins checked off. http://www.iainburns.com/gallery/albums/2008_08_31/normal_IMG_2012.JPG Gas line for range checked off. http://www.iainburns.com/gallery/albums/2008_08_31/normal_IMG_2013.JPG While we were there I went ahead and measured the windows and doors for window treatments. We really want to go with wood stained plantation shutters. We went to Next Day Blinds and the people were super helpful and stayed past closing, without rushing us to make sure we had all the info we needed. Ideally we want shutters on all the windows except the master bath, that's 16 windows total. Full price...$7500. The girl we were dealing with (the assistant manager) knocked off $750 then her manager came over and knocked off another $750. So after it was all done it's going to run us $6k installed. Basically the $1500 they took off covers the installation charges. We talked about putting blinds in the two smaller bedrooms to help bring the price down another $1500...but the blinds for that room will run around $500 which means that for *only* $1000 more we can have we really want. My wife talked to her mother and they paid $6k for all 28 windows in their house but they went with vinyl shutters and they don't offer stained colors...just white and ivory which we don't want. The girl promised us the price whenever we come back, she recommended that we put our order in around November to get the dates scheduled for their free measuring and then the install. I guess we'll see what happens.

This is probably the weakest update so far, just gas lines, sprinkler lines and the bath tubs. Some of the other homes had their tel/data lines run but no data cabinet yet. I'm guessing we'll have ours run by next weekend. http://www.iainburns.com/gallery/albums/2008_08_31/normal_IMG_1974.JPG http://www.iainburns.com/gallery/albums/2008_08_31/normal_IMG_1975.JPG http://www.iainburns.com/gallery/albums/2008_08_31/normal_IMG_1976.JPG http://www.iainburns.com/gallery/albums/2008_08_31/normal_IMG_1977.JPG http://www.iainburns.com/gallery/albums/2008_08_31/normal_IMG_1978.JPG http://www.iainburns.com/gallery/albums/2008_08_31/normal_IMG_1979.JPG New breaker. http://www.iainburns.com/gallery/albums/2008_08_31/normal_IMG_1980.JPG Looks like the power cable for the networking cabinet. http://www.iainburns.com/gallery/albums/2008_08_31/normal_IMG_1981.JPG Drywall under the bottom set of stairs. http://www.iainburns.com/gallery/albums/2008_08_31/normal_IMG_1982.JPG One of the sprinkler outlets. http://www.iainburns.com/gallery/albums/2008_08_31/normal_IMG_1983.JPG

It wasn't something that I could option for. Centex does it...just in the single-family homes. And they told me not to go in and do it myself in the middle of the night. They actually told me a story about a guy who had done that in a home and ended up not buying the house for whatever reason. They then had to pay someone to pull all the wire he had poorly installed. To be honest I'm not too worried about it. If I do put in a home theatre I can easily hide the cables at the baseboard and carpet.
