This poem is very recent. I shoed it to a couple of people who really liked it, so I thought I would share it with everyone. "Good Morning, Sunshine" Good morning, Sunshine! I have so much to say of times gone by; of things that passed in life before today. Good morning, Sunshine! I find you very dear. Your warmth fills me again with hope and takes away my fear. Good morning, Sunshine. I am starting to see that you belong to someone else and that is not to me. Good morning, Sunshine... I do not understand why you want to set on me; why this has to be the end. Good morning, Sunshine. I'm sorry for what I've done. Your light has shown me much inside myself that keeps me from your sun. Good morning, Sunshine! With your help, I've found my way. I have new hope in my heart, and new hope, and new dreams, and all I want to say... Is "Good morning, Sunshine!" to you Every day. -Jason R. Shoemaker

My favorite is still The Lighthouse Keeper. You should post that...or at least a link to it, considering it's well over 40 pages, I believe. lol!

hahahaha! Yeah...something tells me Emeriss doesn't give quite that much XP in a 25-man raid group...maybe coulda gotten me to 58 though.
-
Thanks, everybody, for letting me tag along for Emeriss last night! Thanks most to Miroku for giving me the invite. That was my first experience in a raid group, and my first experience with a World Dragon! I just wish I had been there when you all dropped him...I wanted to see how much XP I got for it! lmao! Anyway, it was a ton of fun...and my only comfort in not being there for the finishing blow is that my repair bill was about 1/10th of everyone else's. HAHA! Thanks again, and I hope I get to group with all you awesome ppl again real soon! <3

Blah. I don't know how to work quotes. lmao That was intended for Ael. <3

If I were alex. I would be smiling now, I wish what I wrote had created suc a response. You know I love your writing, too. After all, who else can say they've read your entire book already? lol
-
Just ticked that this thread turned from "Hey everyone, check out my writing and tell me what you think" to....so not that. Just want to see it dropped and everyone go back to the focus of the whole subject, which is Alec and her awesome literature. Would be nice, is all I'm trying to say. Enough is enough. As a fellow aspiring writer, it pains me to see everyone not giving her words of great encouragement on her wonderful talent. Sorry for the explosion, but I mean, come on...can't we all just hit a bong?

For pity's sake...are we all STILL talking about this crap?!?!?!?!? Someone please shut this dang-blasted topic down. This is becoming monotenous. I personally believe that Alec's writing is fabulous. It rivals Poe, in my opinion. To sit here and discuss anything and everything BUT that makes you all look like blubbering neanderthals. For Christ's sake, everyone shut up and move on, or go start a topic elsewhere to bad mouth each other. Leave it out of this one! Geeze!

Worst part is all Van will put in his one-man bunker is men. On second thought, I changed my mind. I think I'll pass on the bunker invite. Too much beef.
-
Hey, Van, while you're in your bunker you still need to beat Xenosaga 2. You're missing the samurai fight scene.
-
So, like, hi guys! How's about we just start all of this from scratch, huh? Wonderful writing, Alec. I look forward to seeing more on the forums very soon.

Now, due to the length of this story added to the fact that I wished to explain it's origin, I just decided to post it as a blog on MySpace and link it to whoever wishes to read it. It's tough to miss there...it's the really big blog. I've noticed that most people in the guild have an alt that rips off the name of someone else's main character. DL has Guynis, Fior has Hananin, and so on and such forth. I decided to keep with the majority who join in that tradition and create a character who is closely named for someone else in the guild. I chose Aelora. However, there was just not something right to me about making a character based off of someone else's concept. There was no originallity to it. So, with my vast imagination, I came up with an idea. What if my toon rip-off wasn't just a rip-off? What if she was related? That was the start of Arolea. Ael liked the idea. I made sure to run it past her first. No sense in creating an elaborate storyline if the person involved doesn't want to go along with it. She loved the idea and we began discussing what the back story that connects these two consists of. It turned into something that we both really enjoy, and a couple of people I talked to about it said they wanted to see it. So I decided to type it up and post it for everyone in the FP to read. An overdraft of Arolea's history. Arolea is Aelora's twin sister. She is also a priest, but on the opposite spectrum of her sibling. Where Aelora is in depth with the holy side of the priestly magics, Arolea is in complete touch with the dark sides of shadow magic. How could these sisters be so opposite of one another, you ask? Well, to learn that you will have to read the story. I leave it at that. Without any more spoilers, I give you the history of the one character I have who will probably never be a Prophet...Arolea. http://blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseacti...op=1&indicate=1

Two things I like. Good poetry and music. Good poetry about music is perfect. It makes me want to sing to somebody right now...just need to find someone to sing to. lol!

It pleases me to read something that I feel I can relate to in many ways. Emotional expression through literature has always been one of the few things that can grab my attention and have me reading more. That and anything with Dr. Doom. Haha! Anyway, I look forward to seeing more of this. The writing style is very good, and the emotions it depicts are relative to many people. Relating to one's literature is the greatest way to draw that person in to it further, and I must say that I am very deeply woven in.

Thank you very much! I look forward to showing everyone more of my works in the future. Your compliment was very well-spoken, btw siegeman. I am honored. I look forward to more feedback from other members in the future.

This is a poem I wrote when I was in high school. It is still one of the few accomplishments in life that I am most proud of, since it made the semi-finals of a semi-national poetry contest and was published. If There Were Wordes If there were words to tell you just how much I care, The list would be unending, as it streatched high through the air. If there were ways to show you exactly how I feel, No actions could come close, no matter what the deal. If there were gifts to give you that could please your lovely eyes, I'd buy a million dozen roses, and bring forth with them the night's skies. If there were ways of stopping this wishing you were mine, To hold your body would be bliss, to kiss your lips, devine. If there were words to tell you that all of this is true, Those words would be quite simple. They would be "I love you."
-
Heh. Just tell him to stop peeing on everything...mainly you. Now take a bath.
-
Oh, pssh! Puuu-lease! We all know (or at least better) that you're so going to be doing this for a living after this one comes out. All I can say is that you better have more stories in the tank, or your career will be feirly short-lived!
-
I do, as well. Of course, I've read the entire book already. Very good story. Can't wait for the hardback copy.
-
Maybe they're just keeping it a secret that we get a party-wide Feign Death...so people can continue to hate us and think we cheat cuz we always live. Ha!

From what I heard, just as Aelora got to the part when she said "If anyone objects to this Holy union, may they speak now or forever hold their piece", the mage walked in and started AoEing everyone. After a huge group of unarmed, unarmored FP members finished him off (which is almost as funny), she asked "Okay...so does anyone else have any objections to this Holy union?". Krotas replied, "Hell, no! I saw what happened to the last guy!" Only wish I was there...well, maybe not. I would have been, like, level 20ish. Most defintiely dead in the AoE blast. lol!
-
Yeah. I heard that is where Dragon and Fior had their in-game wedding. Aelora was telling me about that. And of the undead mage who tried to kill everyone...that sounded hilarious!

These are the first two screenshots I've ever taken in World of Warcraft. I thought I would share them with everyone, since I don't think they are too bad. What do you think? http://server6.theimagehosting.com/image.p...jpg&album=16081 http://server6.theimagehosting.com/image.p...jpg&album=16081 Hope everyone enjoys!
