Opening Day was official as of approximately 8:03 EST yesterday. Today was a slew of games that some would call possible playoff matchups, and some would call just pot luck wins. My favorite thing about Opening Day is the fact that nobody's a winner and nobody's a loser until the first nine innings are done (or 10, or 11...). New hope, new possibilities, a new year and a chance to win it all. The other thing I love about the start of the baseball grind is making all the predictions at the start of the year, and seeing how they turn out. So, here are my 2007 MLB predictions, starting with divisions. N.L. East: New York Mets. Best offense, better pitching, best odds for a second year. (best record) Central: St. Louis Cardinals. But don't count out, of all teams, the Milwaulkee Brewers to take this one. The Card's new starting 5 is unproven, and already starting off hurt with Mark Mulder on the DL. The Brew Crew is young and talented, if healthy they could put up a good fight. In the end it'll likely be decided by Albert Pujols's bat though. West: Los Angeles Dodgers. Jason Schmidt was the best off-season aqusition of the year. This one's almost sealed as long as they can stay healthy. Wild Card: Philadelphia Phillies. Ryan Howard is the core of this team. As long as he's in the lineup, wins will follow most of the year. A.L. East: New York Yankees. It's hard not to pick the most dominating team in the division year in and year out, but I think the whole "Dice K" hype in Boston may end up being the death of that team after the All-Star break, once people figure out his "reverse slider". Plus, expect A-Rod to have a monster year, comparable to his MVP season of 2004 in Texas. (best record) Central: Minnesota Twins. It seems like a longshot, due to a lack of a real power-game offense, but Johan Santana is the best pitcher to take the mound in the game today. They could very well be the sup[rise team this season for some people. West: Anaheim Angels. The A's didn't really improve all that much from last year, so expect a new division leader this season. Vlad the Impaler will get it back in gear and hit 40 homers. Wild Card: Boston Red Sox. BUT....don't count out another A.L. East team from this mix, the Toronto Blue Jays. This one's gonna come down to the wire again this year. Playoffs N.L. Mets over Phillies Dodgers over Cardinals Mets over Dodgers A.L. Yankees over Angels (keep in mind teams from the same division can't face each other in the first round) Twins over Red Sox Yankees over Twins World Series Mets over Yankees Awards MVP: A.L., Alex Rodriguez. N.L., Albert Pujols Cy Young: A.L., Johan Santana, N.L., Chris Carpenter Records will be abundant this year. Bonds chasing Aaron, Biggio chasing 3,000 hits, Glavine chasing 300 wins, A-Rod chasing 500 homers (and at only 31 years old). 2k7 will be one heck of a season. Play Ball!

Can't we all just drop a bomb? I mean, hit a bong? I mean, get along? Ah, screw it, I'm just gonna eat a taco and pretend I don't know any English.

I noticed people giving reviews on games that have come out recently. I also noticed there's one I picked up this winter that nobody either may have even heard of or tried out yet. Cuz DL and Vanin still didn't beat the second one (noobs). Here's my review on Xenosaga 3 for the PS2. The, saldy, last game of the originally slated 6-part Xeno series picks up where the second leaves off. The Gnosis (big ugly alien thingies) have the Zohar (big stone of power or something, think the Monolith from 2001: A Space Oddysey), and there's a Civil War breaking out between two major political factions. The military (U-TIC), in coordination with Vector (some science company), have made a second KOS-MOS (bad ass robot) unit, far superior to the original. From here the game picks up. The fighting style is a bit different from the two previous games. In the last two, you used button combinations to do attacks and charge up special attacks. Mostly it was "Block Block Attack" alot. Now it's just one button, one attack, which is a definite change. Spells (or ether abilities) are much more useful than they were in the previous two games, as now they actually do some real damage. Plus they added a different special attacks ability that makes specials a little harder to do, and not so frequent, adding a little more difficulty to the game. Once you get the hang of it, it's fairly simple. The cool thing is now the mechs get special attacks as well. The storyline, if you haven't played the previous two, would be totally confusing, so they add an ability to read what happens in the last two games to lead to this point so far. Overall, it's not too bad. A bit over the top and way too sci-fi fantasy for my personal tastes, but it's not like FF10 bad so it gets some kudos. Graphics are, like the previous two, pretty darn good. The FMV fight scenes look really cool, especially mech samurai fights and super battle robots duking it out Matrix-style. It's a shame that they cut this thing so short, since the 5th game was slated to be a remake of Xenogears (which if it had been on the PS3 woulda been /drool), but it's a decent ending to an overall pretty decent game trilogy. Overall rating: 8/10. Not probably a must-buy game, but worth at least checking out to see if it's your cup of tea.

Pssh...no prayers are necessary. I read this thing before the revisions, and it was magnificent then. Knowing who the brains were behind the final copy, even Walden would be stupid to pass up this opportunity. It'll happen, I have faith and confidence.

We need a fourth turtle for you...and a rat...then get some mutagen and make a TV series out of it. Oh...and they're ninjas. Yeah...this sounds original. I think it could work.

Tutubi had the first and only raptor mount. Hinanin had the first and only legendary weapon. Beornwarrior was FP's first Grand Marshal. Now see Fp's new first for yourself...our first turtle mount! http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=viewImage&friendID=13448166&imageID=1657229385 Congratulations to Amanda on her newest achievement. Though I have no ideas as to how you got it (innocent look), I know you will enjoy it, and everyone else will enjoy seeing you with it.

I'm a forum noobasaurus. I have no idea how to post a screenshot (or any form of picture file, for that matter) into a post without just a link to a webpage appearing. I see it's possible to simply make the image visible in the post...I just have no clue as to how it's done. Help! http://i13.tinypic.com/3zjf281.jpg
