when the prices are lowering up, they present us a newer piece at the same price the older was so. its always liek that anyway.

Thats a nice comp dude But to save some money you could have bought a ''unlocked'' x800 GTO (unlocked means that you can overclock it and mod it) and mod and overclock it to a x850XT since both card uses the same chipset. But youd probably need a better VGA cooler... but its a detail ^^; DAMN i so want a new comp!!!!
-
I totally understand this but if you buy this come then you want to upgrade it, youll notice you boughta 100$ card for mostly nothing and a cd drive that will be mostly useless later since everything is coming on DVD... between a 500$ comp that I will upgrade later and having useless pieces and a 1000$ comp that I wont upgrade for a while, Id choose the 1000$ comp...

64 bit cumputer.. you need Windows XP 64bit to use all of its possibilities actually. CD-Rom drive? pff. buy a LG DVD burner and you're in. I bought mine for like 50$ CAN, so should be like 35$ US. Athlon 64 2800+... thats kind of slow. its not even 2GHz (if I remember). Id recomend you to go for a 3200+ or higher. ASUS 6600TD... definitively not. If you are to go with a Nvidia card, get a 6600GT, or buy a ATI x800 GTO and mod it to a x850XT for more power. http://www.techpowerup.com/articles/overcl...ing/vidcard/127 Since these 2 cards (x800GTO and x850XT) uses the same chip and card (if I remember) you can mod your chip and overclock it so it will be just like a x850 XT card Here are the benchmarks for the x800GTO base, modded (16 pipelines) and overclocked to a x850XT http://www.techpowerup.com/articles/overcl...g/vidcard/127/3 Hope it'll help you!

Alienware are custom-built computers, nobody should have problems with them ^^' wooh its a chance I didnt bought my Dell computers this summer
-
Cause you have an Alienware computer? HOLY SHIT now where you live hmmm ima try to steal your heartstone maybe itll bring me by your house
-
Alienware = quality, performance, profesionnal customisation, support, look, high prices Custom = low prices, personal customisation, look (depend on your personal taste) If you have the cash Id recommend you an Alienware, otherwise customize it yourself. Or buy a comp from Staples, Future Shop or any other shop and customize it yourself with time during holidays I saw some nice PC at Staples, something affordable for like 700$ CAN after all rebates... Athlon 64 3500+, 512Mb Ram, LCD 17'' screen, kboard, mouse, and with a printer... I didnt minded the brand of the comp, cause Id personally would have boosted it by myself after that... but I decided to not buy it since I did not had the cash to (and my parents were out too for some reasons) Its up to you to decide, if you have the money then go for AlienWare, eitherway customize it yourself and dont you overclock you comp too much! ^^;

Thats perfect for gamers. Athlon computers are made for gaming. ATI onboard graphic... it sucks at first, cause you need alot of RAM to use it (it shares its memory with your RAM) so ud better get a new video card fast. 512MB Ram, thats not much but good for starting. just buy 512more or 1Gb if you have the cash. Only 2 PCI slots and the video slot, beware of this if you need extra slots. Except for this this comp should be nice but Im not some expert guy, I only took a fast look.

I want your old comp (Shadrende) Stang : I personally own a Radeon 7500, when I was talking about the x800GTO turned into a x850XT or about a 6600GT video card, it was because I heard guys on some performance forums talking bout this. Here's my scrap I have right now : Pentium3 550eMHz 192Mb Ram (I have 256 temporary Mb Ram that will go on my other comp as soon as it is fixed, which means I have right now 448Mb Ram) 64Mb Radeon7500 Aztech gay sound-modem card Could you believe I can run America's Army on this comp? Requirements for America's ARmy game = 1.5GHz with 384Mb Ram for Windows XP and 64MB Video Card (ATI7500 supported) o_O Im sure I could run WoW at lowest graphic on my comp And here's what should like my other comp when it'll be fixed : Pentium 4 socket 478 (I dont know the speed cause I never runned it, I received it and the mobo was scrap so I cant test the CPU) Around 256MbRam or more 64Mb ATI Radeon 7500, but I plan to upgrade it to something better when Ill have the cash Integrated sound card, but I dont mind, there's 5.1channel for dolby-powered sound on my new motherboard

All I can tell you to build your computer is : look for pieces on the Internet, as they are generally at lower prices than those in shops. (I cant help you much since I live in Quebec and the sites I know for pieces are in canadian dollars, and I dont think youd like to pay your pieces in Canadian) 500$... you wont be able to get much in your computer dude.depend if you include the screen, kboard, mouse, etc...

Nice comp dude Except for your video card (You could buy better easily, just like a x800GTO and overclock it to a x850XT, or buy a 6600GT) your comp seems to not lag anymore in WoW Im happy for you lool now I must find where u live
