We're making the big switch from Novell NDS to MS AD here as the primary directory service this summer. Just deployed 12 new windows 2008 domain controllers one at each school site. This Saturday I'm going in for a few hours to swap a 2008 box for the current 2003, primary domain controller. /crosses fingers XD

MS extended the life cycle of XP for a little bit longer because they want to be sure vista is solid before they cut of XP support. Give it time, it will be fine. 4 years from now everyone will be like AMG EFF WINDOWS HOLOGRAM! Vista was so much better! I didn't know that about the reg rebuild Chris, that's pretty awesome

Vista isn't bad, its different. XP had the same issues when it first came out. XP that everyone knows and loves REALLY started around SP1 and was uber by SP2 (SP3 is kidna lame but w/e.) It looks great, has annoying defaults, but has DX10, more control over security, and from what I've seen better networking.

I'd really stick with nVidia cards over any ATI based product. ATI has terrible drivers, and I've had two ATI cards go bad on me. Never again :\

DO NOT GET BENQ - They are ass wrapped in plastic and LCD cover. We had them at my last job broke all the time. Samsung or Dell is the way to go. Samsung has the best picture for the money imo, Dell has nice screens too at a good cost. Don't go for a cheap big monitor, go for a nice, medium size (19"-24")
