It's is a contraction. -> It is. (or, It has). In this case, it does not take an apostrophe for possession.

When I said it 'exists' only in spoken form, I meant that it's not acceptable for use in writing. That isn't to say that people don't use it!

I'm guessing that "should of" is based on the way the contraction "should've" sounds. As far as I can tell, that contraction only exists in spoken form.

That kid is a grade A attention whore. Lets see, a college kid gets belligerent, resists arrest, flails his arms and screams at the cops, tries to run away, and at one point lunges in the direction of a US senator. What are the cops supposed to do? Besides, they tased him because they couldn't get his other hand into the cuffs. The other option would have been to (probably) break his arm. It happened a lot before the introduction of tasers. As far as whether they had a good reason to detain him in the first place... I haven't decided that yet.
