oh don't worry, it's not easy at all - I've been watching my friend do the 10 man on the PTR with his guild. Out of all the bosses they have tried (each night the GM's spawn different bosses) I don't think they have ever gotten a boss even close to down, lawl The... *thinks of name*... furnace master(?) was put up one or two nights ago and several guilds managed to down him so apparently he is being buffed hardcore. Oh fun! in any case, I am also extremely excited to get in there in both 10 and 25 man! *glares at stang* I was thinking the first boss was a little boring because if everyone is in vehicles gear wouldn't matter at all, all that would matter would be the rotation of the 3 or 4 special abilities at your command - but it turns out I was wrong since the item level of your gear will actually buff the vehicle you control =D

Hey, hey, I used a question mark, thus meaning I was not stating it was actual proof! I was just trying to build suspense =P

Evidence that the lich king has the old god of death under his control? Listen for yourself: Actual part of the uld instance: (note: first room shown is throne room of stormwind, the second room is wyrmcrest temple, the final is either the shadow vault or the temple beside icecrown citadel where arthas' heart was destroyed. For those who are not yet aware part of the fight is an ability referred to as insanity. Every time you attack ygg-saron you get a stacking debuff, if it stacks too high he takes control of you. As such there is a lot of time where players actually need to stop attacking, and the current belief is that you "tour" these lore intensive events while you wait on the debuff.

Happy birthday Matt / stangmeister / stanger / devotion!!! (Note: one of those did not go along with the rest) =P

Ok so I see the post there that says they have new ones in stock, so I head over to the blizzard store to grab one of these things since I don't ever want to have to deal with being hacked and loosing it all. It turns out, and I find this hard to understand, that while in the united states you can still purchase an authenticator for $6.50, apparently these ones simply can't be shipped to Canada, and they're sold out of the ones that come packed with that extra "cold protection."

ROFL When I read that last slide I think I laughed so loudly my room mate in the next room over woke up <.<
-
Damnit pete, why'd you have to go and get hacked? That totally sucks bro and when you are back I'll help you get regeared and pass some money over if you need it, but the NIGHT we are going for the undying? lol *cries*

woh, woh, woh, when did this happen!? I know they have owned 32/39 in the face, but why is 51/13/7 gone?? After reading this I literally just now checked the latest patch notes and it says nothing of the talent annihilation being moved!

Damn, you're on to me!

Well my point was that unless I have a scribe following me around 24/7 there isn't much point to getting the dual spec. Even though it's cheap, it would still take far too long to make my money back to make it worth the investment. However, I just experimented on the PTR and unless they haven't properly implemented it yet for whatever reason you can in fact change to either of your two specs at any time you choose (Note: didn't test while in an instance or raid) and an interesting side note is that when switching to your other spec it costs 100% mana (you can have any amount of mana at the time, but it will use it all up).
-
Ditto. However since I didn't expect to copy my character I have not yet DL'd the PTR <.<

lol that's a little extreme. I was EXTREMELY excited about this until I heard that it might require this lexicon of power crap. I don't respec terribly often (at most, once a week) and I would have paid the 1000g out of convenience more than anything else. But if I have to go to a major city every time I want to respec (much like it is now) then there is no convenience involved, and it would take me at least half a year to make my 1000g back. Not worth it imo =/

I googled it while bored and found quite a few funny stories, and it tempted me to see if any prophets have been through anything over the years that would make a good story. I'll start it off, although it's not terribly funny... especially for those that were there <.< It was a big patch day, and FP had scheduled a BWL raid for that night. There had been a few cool changes but I had been kind of busy IRL and had to get everything done on time for the raid, so I didn't really read any of them. Raid time comes, we get in there and start rolling through Raz, vael, and broodlord, before finally coming to our latest challenge, one we had not yet bested: Firemaw. Now for those who are not familiar with firemaw, he patrols an extremely large area of the instance, one that is completely filled with trash. Being the budding little warlock that I was, I was eager to get a look at Firemaw and see exactly where he patrolled, since once he was dead I obviously wouldn't be able to walk up and see his patrol route for myself. So I turn to my trusty sidekick, that *clearly* had never done me wrong before, and pull out the eye of kil'rogg. Taking control of my new friend I fly him down the hall and up the corridors of BWL, sneaking past all the trash before finally getting to view Firemaw in all his patrolling glory. This is where it got interesting. Firemaw saw my eye, quickly turned around and swipe it to hell. Now, you must understand - I expected that to happen. I had gotten my look at Firemaw, and I was satisfied. My view would return to my character and I would continue to wait for stragglers and buffs. Except, that's not what happened. What did happen was people began to ask the phrase I have come to love: "Why am I in combat?" And as I began to wonder how this happened I saw Firemaw, in all his glory, come chasing down the hallway... towards me. About 3 minutes later, after everyone returned to their bodies and walked back up through the cleared part of the instance, I learned the lesson that has taught me to read every word of every patch note: An interesting little change, unheard of prior to that night, when aggroing a boss in an instance, it now aggro'd every player in the instance.

I'm pretty sure my warlock had 7K hp pre BC <.< >.>

This Friday Feb 27th my weekly naxx will become an achievement farming run. We will be starting with the undying, and if at any point we loose someone will switch over to every other achievement we will still be able to do. Because of this we can't be taking on any of those 1500 dps alts or the like, and if anyone of any roll would like a piece of the action please give me a heads up!

haha, yah gotta love how they start that article off with "some guy that works for IBM is talking about how great games are... oh and btw IBM is moving more toward the gaming industry" xD I've felt that WoW promoted leadership skills ever since the first MC raid I (completely coincidentally) did with FP back when i was still entirely in greens and blues xD

In the comming weeks the naxx groups I've been doing will be switching from raiding week nights to raiding on friday and sunday nights, as to accommodate the FP 25 man raids. As such a few of our group won't be able to continue raiding with us on a regular basis, plus of course this entire time we've been grabbing last minute dps almost every night! So, we are looking for anyone that would be interested in regularly raiding friday and sunday nights, and while the occasional absence is of course alright I would ask that you not ask to join us unless you will be able to attend most of the time =) We definitely need at least a couple DPS, and perhaps even a healer or two (I'll have to get back to you on that one - still waiting for a response from some of our regular healers) If you are interested in raiding naxx, whether you are dps, heals, or a tank, and can come at the specified days, please let me know!! PS. Despite the absence of many FP members this week due to the FP party, I will be trying to form a naxx raid this thursday, jan 1st. If interested show up! =)

Someone got me an entire box set of TCG cards for christmas so i thought i'd take the time to learn how to play. After doing the online tutorial as well as looking through the rulebook (and doing google searches) i still have a few questions! Hoping someone here has played the game and can answer these for me =) -what the heck are "location" cards, and are they used in the same manner as resources? -are hunter pets identical to ally cards with the exception that your hero must be a hunter to use them? -is there a limit to the number of allies, resources or abilities that you can have in play at one time? For instance, can I have 25 quests on the field as resource cards at the same time? Thanks guys! (By the looks of it this game might actually be fun =P )

fea you should try to collect some feral tanking gear. My room mate is the main druid tank for a high end raiding guild and (even at lvl 70 when people had resiliance) he absolutely wrecks face in PvP in his tanking gear. I mean seriously... with bear form armor 40K hp is an efton to burn through!
