Sanctity is from X-Men Mythology--in the future. . . Sanctity was 2nd in command of the Clan Askani--an order of psionic women set up by Rachel Summers, to fight Apocalypse. Sanctity and Rachel, also called Mother Askani, were best friends. When the Mother Askani died, Madame Sanctity took over the Askani Sisterhood in the fight against En Sabah Nur (Apocalypse). Eventually, however, Sanctity went insane due to her massive powers and betrayed the Sisterhood. She was a great telekinetic and telepath, second only to Mother Askani. One of my favorite quotes by Sancity is actually a sad one, because it denotes the beginning of her trek into insanity. . . "Mother Askani give me strength so that I may smite the enemy and protect these hallowed halls!" Just after she decimates two warships attacking Askani Hold, she is teleported to Apocalypse's stronghold, and it is there that she betrays the Askani Sisterhood and all that is right. *sigh*

Well, I sent her out there last year. My friend, Nate, was going to continue feeding her to get her up to size. With snakes, the female has to be so big, and weigh so much, otherwise she won't breed, or if she does, she'll die. When breeding season came around, she still wasn't big enough, so he kept her all last year, continuing to feed. Breeding season starts next month (October). She should be up to size this year. She'll be 3 years old, and should be around 14-15 feet now--which would be a good size, as long as she is at a good weight, too. Once the male is introduced, if they copulate, it takes 3 months for her to produce the eggs. Once the eggs are laid, then he'll send her back (once she is feeding again) and it will be an other 60-90 days for the cute little babies to hatch.

Thanks guys! I'm glad you all enjoyed the pics. It was a lot of fun. I did not go the second day, though--it was too tempting to buy something, and I need to wait for Isis to come back before I get anything. If her breeding goes well, I'll probably end up with one, maybe two babies. And if the breeding doesn't happen, then I can get a new snake. And I TOTALLY forgot about you getting musked, Matt! hee-hee! And it's funny, because that is the one snake I kept! Silly Isis. She so crazy! Oh! And Feanore! That's awesome someone else here is a herper! I thought I was the only one! As soon as Isis gets back (not until next year) I'll post some pics of her. She has been gone for a while now (little over a year) so I don't have any recent pics of her. The last pics I have of her were forever ago because I was mugged and my camera was taken, too. So I of course get a new camera, but now no snakies to take pics of. (Oh, and my Isis is a retic, het albino--she is so gorgeous, and has two awesome dorsal stripes. The male she is breeding with is a tiger retic, het albino, so I am hoping we get some striped albino tigers and striped albinos.)

Hey guys! Well, it's been a while since I have had anything to post. . . (with Isis in Chicago doin' breedin' stuff, and she's the only snake I have right now) I FINALLY have some stuff to post! And I know I am pretty much the only herper here, but I still wanted to share some cool pics of some sweet animals. The Wasatch Reptile Expo is here today and tomorrow, and I got some fun pics. Jeremy Stone had a stand up this year, and of course The Snake Keeper did, too, which was REALLY nice to seem something other than stupid colubrids (no offense to colu. keepers) hee-hee. . . I just wish I had a better memory/knowledge of the different ball morphs. . . but I don't. . . so I'll just do my best to recap for ya. On with the pics! haha... You responses are quite interesting, because not being in the snake hobby, you have absolutely NO idea what you are talking about. You have absolutely NO idea how this movie will affect my hobby. The negative impact it will have, just like the other stupid snake movies out there. You know NOTHING about the prejudice that people harbor against snakes for absolutely NO reason at all. These kinds of movies are so detrimental to the snake hobby it's not even funny. Every day people in politics are trying to ban or outlaw the keeping of snakes, and all movies like this do is give them more fuel--whether fictional or not. I am not stupid, I know this movie is fictional, but there are millions of people in this country who are going to see it, and support the banning of snakes and reptiles in general because they are so grossly ingnorant it is not even funny. It happened with the Anaconda movies and the other snake movies--which were OBVIOUSLY not even close to reality, yet people believed them. So don't tell ME it's just a movie, I know that. It's the millions of uneducated who are going to see this movie, who don't know anything at all about snakes, who are going to see it, and believe snakes are evil and man killers, whether sprayed with some magic mist or not.

These kinds of movies are what enrage me the most. Just like the STUPID Anaconda movies, and other asinine snake movies, all these do is perpetuate the demonization of snakes. Whether the movie was meant to be stupid or not, all it does is show people even more reasons they "should" fear snakes. What is the point of supporting this? The ignorant and inbred are going to go to this movie and come out saying "See, I told you snakes were evil" and sadly, there are going to be more people coming out of that movie than not, who are saying that. Movies like this make me so angry because all they do is demonize snakes. I know that no snakes are harmed in the making of the movie, but it still pisses me off to no end. From the previews they make the snakes look like they are out to kill everyone and that is the farthest the thing from the truth. Snakes are not going to go out of their way to kill people, but the ignorant are going to believe the sh!t this movie produces, just like they believed the sh!t the Anaconda movies produced.
