Oooor... I could spend 24 years on a dairy farm, and be something of an expert on the issue. Oh wait, I did! What's this business of beating the cows? If you collected art for a living, would you go around smashing it up? Makes no sense... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- First off, no, I do not feed live anything to my snakes. All my animals are fed frozen/thawed prey items. Also--snakes cannot eat anything BUT other animals. Their digestive system is not designed for plants. They are strictly carniverous. A snake eating other animals is different from a human abusing animals. Secondly, just because you grew up on a dairy farm doesn't mean you know everything about how other farms are run and how the cows are treated. I grew up on Navy bases my whole life but I don't claim to know everything about the Navy. The hormones that cows are given in big dairy farms make their bodies produce so much milk they HAVE to be milked. And what about the beef cattle? You're going to tell me that the hormones given to those cows that make their muscles bulk up grotesquely are humane? And the veal cows. . . being trapped in an area so small they can't even move--literally--and then being slaughtered. That's humane? How is any of that good treatment of animals? Just because YOUR farm didn't treat animals badly doesn't mean the other hundreds of farms did not. If your farm was good to the animals then I commend you. That's great. It is just sad that so many people see nothing wrong with how horrendously those animals are treated. Humans are NOT above the food chain. It is man's arrogance that makes him THINK he is above other animals.

It's so funny to see people who don't give a rat's @$$ about animals what people do to them. You OBVIOUSLY have NO IDEA what those cows go through and the way they are treated. Why don't you do a little research and look some stuff up and see how dairy cows are treated. If humans were treated the same way cows are, the treatment would stop and would be condemned. The most ignorant comment has to be the ones stating cows don't suffer or feel anything. Why the hell would they not!?!?! Just because they're cows? Does your dog suffer? Does a cat suffer? If you beat a dog or cat, it feels pain just like a freaking cow does. It is so digusting and repulsive see people thinking it's okay to treat animals badly. I really wish people that have no compassion for animals were treated the way they think it's okay to treat animals. I am quite posivite if you were treated the way those cows are treated you changed your ignorant view. It really is disgusting.

Abortion (and gay rights) are two issues that really blow me away. I normally do not talk politics because it disgusts me and makes me exceptionally angry. Personally, I am against abortion. I don't necessarily consider it murder, but I do not really think it is something that should be done. BUT. . . and there is a big BUT, I do NOT believe in taking away the rights of others. It NOT my place to tell a woman what she can or cannot do with her body. People here are saying abortion is an issue of education and a bunch of other sh@t. I say that is just someone trying to push their views on someone else. If you don't believe in abortion, then great! But don't take away the rights of someone else to choose what they want to choose. You believe that all life is sacred, blah blah blah, good for you. But you should not be able to tell someone else what they can or cannot do with their own body. Not everyone believes the same things you believe, and they should not be FORCED to believe what you believe. It is the same thing with the right-wing Christians. They believe that gays are evil and sinners. Well good for them. They don't believe that men should marry other men and women should marry other women. That's wonderful. But why should their views be pushed on me? Why should I have to suffer because of something they believe? If they don't believe gay marraige, then how about they not marry someone who's gay. Pretty simple. They use the asinine excuse that the Bible says God hates gays. Welll that is all and good, except not everyone believes that. Some people do not believe that God hates gays and some do not believe in God at all. But the right-wing Republicans want to force everyone to believe what they believe--or at least they want to take away rights of from others, so they cannot have their own rights. A TRUE Christian, like the right-wing Repubs claim to be, would treat others how they wanted to be treated, after all, that's what Jesus said to do. But instead, they judge and condemn, and want to take away the rights of others, by banning anything they see and "unclean" or "sin". I have no problem with people not believing what I believe, but I DO have a problem with people taking away my right to choose--and that IS a right. It is a RIGHT for me to persue happiness. If I want to marry a man, I should be able to. If I want to marry a woman I should be able to. This is the land of the FREE and home of the brave, not the land of the free and home of the brave--unless you're gay. Why people have to take away right to choose from others is beyond me.

Oh, and price is around what it should be for that year. Do you know what features or trim level the Accord is? If it was a V-6 or 4 cylinder? Here is the MSN autos page for the 2004 Accord. It also has reviews by people who actually own them, saying the pros and cons. The overall user review is 9.2 out of 10. So that tells you that people really love them. My Accord is a 2003--which will look identical to the 2004. I love it, too, of course. Uhhhh, Toyota and Honda are NOT basically the same. The Accords have NEVER had problems like the Camrys have been having. Toyota has gone downhill a lot lately because of their problems with their cars, where as Honda has not. They both do have good mileage vehicles, but I would NEVER say that Honda and Toyota are the same. That is a gross insult to Honda.

OMG!!!!!! A car thread!!!!!!!! hehe. . . Well, as Master Montgomery and Lady Enigami know, I am the wrong person ask about cars--simply because I believe in one automobile company and one company only: HONDA A 2006 Accord for $13,000? That's an amazing price, but for so low, it makes me wonder what trim level it is? Do you know if it is an DX (also redubbed VP), LX, EX, EX-L, LX V-6, or EX V-6? The DX is the base model, which will have virtually no extras. The LX has basic amenities, such as power door locks, windows and mirrors, cruise and a/c. EX V-6 is top of the line with dual zone automatic climate control, leather, heated seats, steering wheel mounted cruise and audio controls, 6 disc in-dash CD changer, power front seats (driver 8 way, front pass. 4 way), allow rims, power moon-roof with tilt feature, leather wrapped steering wheel, and of course a 244 hp V-6 engine with grade logic control. Realiability will be with the Honda, of course. Hondas are known for dependability and resale value. Toyotas are good, save the Camry--as Darcy mentioned. The Camry has really fallen down in that category mainly due to transmission problems, I believe it was. They are no longer as good as they were. The Saturn is an American made (P.O.S.) car. Saturn is part of GM (General Motors) so it will have the quality of a Chevy with the same dependability (or lack of). The Toyota you mentioned was a Corolla, which aren't bad, though they are/were the same thing as a Chevy Prism. Both were built in the same plant and just branched off to have either Chevy emblems or Toyota emblems. Of course the Prism is no longer made, but Corolla is. Corollas are still dependable, though they haven't had any major updates in ages--one of the things that makes them a little on the lame side. If you have an questions about Hondas, I'm your man. An other great Honda, is of course, the Civic. They run forever, are a little smaller, but get better gas mileage and super cute and fun to drive. Of my 11 cars, 7 have been Hondas and I love them. I have had 3 Civics, 3 Accords and 1 Passport/Rodeo. <----(Shut up, Matt!)
