Things that went wrong with warhammer: Population balance between order and destruction wasn't addressed well; led to VERY skewed siegesIf you didn't have a solid group at the ready, you miss out on doing public quests; The population was spread too thin.Lag fests at siegesLack of PVE content: Though it's a PVP game, you need solid PVE to fill the gaps.If you think the CC in WoW is bad... try Warhammer. Everything was a knockback, knockdown, disarm, stun, etcOverall the game was just not that polished. Very cool concepts, just not implemented well.

On the official WoW forms, it's been confirmed that as of right now (subject to change since it's still in testing): No need for a lexicon; Available at level 40 (no longer max level only); 5 second cast time, switches action bars + glyphs too (you need to use the other 'mod' for gear); Can't be used during arenas or battlegrounds; If that's all true, I'm quite happy about it.

Not quite on the same level as the raid wipes... but: #1 I was mid 40s on my pally and questing in Tanaris. I come across a ?? horde player (warrior I think) who is AFK. Now, this was shortly after the honor system was released so I remember thinking "Awesome! I'm going to get an HK and a LOT of contribution points out of this!" I started to smash the guy, doing only minor damage, but slowly but surely wearing him down. At about 30% hp, he pops up, whips around, and destroys me in 2 seconds flat. I made sure to pan the camera around and see if anyone else saw my epic failure. I was then camped for quite some time. #2 I tried to gank a hunter who was killing a few mobs. As I start attacking and get his HP pretty low, his pet finishes off a mob, he levels up, and then finishes me off. #3 I healed most of the raids I attended way back when with DPS gear on

I know it's just beta, and it will probably change, but have you seen some classes that are overplayed/underplayed? I just got my pre-order in so I'll be doing the open beta once that opens up and I'm trying to decide what class I want to try out. What I'm thinking so far: If order: witch hunter If destruction: marauder Is the combat itself fun? I've heard it's "just kinda weird" coming from WoW players, but I can't imagine it being to different. Thanks for the posts Sauce! Keep 'em coming!

That looks really awesome. Marauder is the class I intended to roll at launch, but I'm worried that Chaos will be massively overpopulated (and you did state that they have the Alliance mentality...) As you said, the low level PVP (while it does matter) probably isn't the most balanced/ extensive combat. I mean, if we had a 1-10 AB here in WoW, warriors would have what? Heroic Strike, Rend, and Charge? I'm interested to see how healers play in that game (Warrior Priest ftw?). More than likely the issue of healers/ranged pwning face can/will be adjusted as time goes on, just as balancing with classes occurs in all MMOs. Thanks for the post!
