  1. Gentlefolk. I was being bored the other day and I decided to stop by these forums. How impolite of me to not even stop to say hi right? Well, I am fixing that: Hello! I am currently enjoying the summer and doing absolutely nothing immediately productive. I am, however, taking the time to read some classics and get a Left 4 Dead team into the different e-sports tournaments that are coming up during the summer. I am sure some of you were wondering what I was up to. If anyone wants to get a hold of me for some gaming (I am just playing Steam games at the moment) add me up on Steam. I go by Wanderer or |BoSS|Wanderer. \m/
  2. ohhh DNB soo many afternoons wasted at my friend's studio messing around with recording equipment and synthesizers trying to make our own. That stuff is way to fun to make. Sucks there is no audience for it in this rock.

    Ice Wine

I got hooked on Australian wines since my trip there.... Mind you, Ice Wine is something I try to pick up when I manage to get close to Montreal. My friend's uncle is trying to get them to bring it to this rock... so far no luck tho.

  14. I really liked him. He reminds me of one of my favorite comedians, Marcos Mundstock.
  15. I've done that too! I got hit on the neck with one of those. I stopped breathing for a couple of seconds and then got back in and shot the motherfucker who hit me. I hit him in the balls. By the end of the afternoon I had 20 bruises all over me. There is nothing like playing no rule games at the end of the day when everyone is exhausted and no one gives a dam about getting hit anymore. also, it is fun to go berserk on 12 year olds who think they be Rambo.
  16. Yo Corkie! you a newfie or are you in the guild for random reasons?
  17. Gynis.... that link... it... brought me to another website.... it was... heavenly... I didn't know my speakers could make those noises.
  18. The footage for the new areas is breathtaking. The areas look pretty freaking big. did anyone see that gigantic floating crystal spiral thingie? it looks retarded!
  19. or! I could come on my chu chu train and derail this thread! so.. who has seen Ironman?
  20. I still play... I am playing in a different server with RL friends.
  21. God damnit! they did this with Cloverfield too! when will Hollywood understand that trailers should NEVER, EVER, be made into movies. gawd...
  22. Um.... I am not sure if I should step in... I will. Why I like SSBB so much as opposed to Tekken (which is fun from time to time) is because the game has the potential to become extremely complex. This is so because of how simple the controls are. I am not sure if anyone here has played with skilled SSB players but when you play for a while the game becomes less of a button smashing in sequences and more of a elaborate dance between the players on the screen. Rather than having you memorize 30-300 button combinations (1000 if you have ever played the mimicking characters in Tekken), you have to pay attention to what is going on on the field and react to it or get flung across the map to your ultimate doom. The controls allow you to attempt a million things in a million different way. Just the other day (after playing it for a good 11 hours with my friends) we were still being amused by the interesting combos that we could come up with just to get our hands on that smash power up. And I will not even get started on the amount of fun things you can try with all the items. The game feels random at times. This is specially so if you are playing it for the first time. Or the first few days... After a while the gameplay becomes far more technical, unpredictable and fun than Tekken can ever be. As for story: Let me say that Tekken (I am only comparing SSB to Tekken atm because I am not as experienced with other fighter games like Soul Calibur, even though I do think they are tons of fun) featured one of the most cheesy stories ever. SSBB on the other hand had a most creative way to deal with an adventure mode. The most creative way that I have seen in ages. And by creative I actually mean it freaking mixed fighter game with a classic nintendo game. Wtf? why would nintendo do this? Because it is a fun style of game. It is why Sonic, Mario, Metroid, Duke Nukem (DN 2), and countless other famous video games were, and still are, so fun to play. Aside from the Gameplay aspect of the story mode in SSBB, the actual story is pretty fun and not very stretched (once you neglect to pick on the fact that Snake is strolling around a fantasy nintendo world). I mean, it reminds me of the times when I would sit down with my action figures/legos and have my friends and I set up on epic adventures with them. SSBB pretty much Stumps any fighter game I've seen storywise. Yup... wall of text alright.
