I don't see how this is a reflection on Palin. Georgia and Ukraine have been attempting to join NATO for years now, and the official stance of both the US and EU for the past few years is that they should be allowed to join, and as of April '08 NATO has informed them both that they will be allowed to join. You can't expect the US or EU to change their mind just because Russia invades Georgia. After all, that is the primary reason why they wish to join NATO in the first place. They were expected to join in the next couple years, and while rushing it now might cause diplomatic issues between Russia and NATO member states, it's probably in the best interest of both nations and the other former soviet block countries that are also worried about increased Russian aggression towards them. Expediting Georgia and Ukraine's membership is like drawing a diplomatic line in the sand with Russia without the use of military force. Once members, Russia will probably retreat entirely, unless Georgia allows them to take the breakaway regions. No offence, but assuming that it will lead to nuclear war is a pretty far-fetched assertion. She is simply confirming her support of the official US policy on the matter. If I'm not mistaken, Obama has done the same, although less emphatically. edit: LINK1 LINK2 LINK3 Obama also supports Georgia NATO membership

I have a sister, so of course we had a lite-brite groing up. Bandai made one for the 21st century with programable LED's and crap. It's pretty badass, for a lite-brite. Best part is though that they made a trippy video to promote it (45 sec. in til the end). It's like $100 in Japan. .

I was at home watching good morning america I think. I took the day off because I didn't want to drive to Decatur where I was working at the time. All the major channels were already showing the buildings when the 2nd plane hit. It's an indescribable feeling watching a plane hit a building live on TV and knowing a lot of people just died. It's one of those things you know you'll never forget once you've seen it.
