There's no way that they're still running the same hardware that they were 4 years ago. So Mike is correct. If the guys in there server rooms are worth a damn (and I HIGHLY suspect that they're awesome) then this server has seen regular upgrads of hardware and software since it was put into service. The larger problem that we're having is our population - because of our age we've got some name recognition and/or people creating on this server to be with friends. It's a pop inbalance that I belive is causing the problem. With the server basically running at full boar constatnly and with having to move information from it to it's instance servers. Anything minor hiccup is going to cause ripples on the larger system. I hate to use the stone on a pond metaphore but it's fairly accurate. That or I'm wrong and they're still using IBM 100 serries with the magnetic tape drives and 500kb hard drives, with ours being tucked away in it's own sweltering and humid server hell. And the IT pro is a lepper gnome that's drunk and taking a wiz on rack. Who konws.

"I genuinely believe that some machines have a soul and I can’t bear to think of my Ford sitting in a warehouse now, unloved and unwanted. It is fine. It is perfect. It knows it’s a great, great car that was ruined by a useless ape who fitted a crummy aftermarket alarm system." He still loves the car =P

He really liked the Crossfire convertable too, and the Ford GT. =P Honestly though I'm glad that they're calling us out on the cars we make. It's the only way that our auto industry is going to get it's head out of it's ass and start producing quality automobiles. Like the new Camaros that are coming out. This thing SCREAMS awesome, and I can't wait for them to revew it. (The SS having that much horsepower with IRS gives me a 6ft boner) It's just so musclecar, and done really freaking well from what I've seen.

Just read that bit about replacing David Tennant, *Covers ears* I'M NOT LISTENING! I'M NOT LISTENING! I'M NOT LISTENING! I'M NOT LISTENING! I'M NOT LISTENING!I'M NOT LISTENING! I'M NOT LISTENING! I'M NOT LISTENING! I'M NOT LISTENING! He's such the perfect Doctor that losing him will makez me a sad panda =((((

I may be alone on this, but the look of the sets worries me a little. I'm not into that white/blue surgical look, seems odd to me, but I'm a purist. =P Regardless for my feeling of the look of the movie, I'm going to see it JUST for Simon Pegg playing Scotty. Oh and that pic of Sylar/Spock is a little freaky. I don't need mah vulcanz sawin' off the top of people's heads. My interests, they are peaked.

I completely forgot about Dr Who and it's spinoffs. Probably 'cause I'm wainting on new episodes to reach these shores. When Who is on it's something I watch on Friday religiously, just too much fun. I can't get into Sanctuary, Amanda Tapping doing a bad "british" accent just kills it for me. That and the greenscreen sets. The whole time I'm watching an episode I can't help but stare at all the obvious cgi sets, and then I get sad. =(

Oh black people and their spelling.

The original Kitchen Nightmares is SO much better. It's like the NBC version has no teaste. Oh and the rumored americanized top gear makes me sick. The whole point of that show is the dry British humor, I can't think of anyone that could pull off Jeremy Clarkson's role. Heroes, Eruka (which is awful but amusing enough to keep me coming back), Top Gear, Mythbusters, Stargate (again w/ the popcorn scifi), Battlestar (when it comes back), Lost (again w/ the back thing), and Dexter soon as my cable co gets off it's ass and gets me showtime. (Or I pirate it first, /shrug)

Hot blonde tripplets do me just fine, but it's a little deus ex machina for my taste. We killed your character! but she's got identical sisters so you can keep working!! YEY!! /puke

Just wanted to throw this out there. BSG is by far the best scifi on TV. Cable or otherwise.
