So yeah, I definitely recieved a new motherboard in the mail from Dell today. This is AFTER I shipped my computer out, it took a month to get back to me, and then I got it back to discover they didn't repair it. I dunno, maybe the're more retarted than they seem, but when I get home from work tonight I'll give this a try and see if I can get it working again. Ooohhh, installing motherboards in laptops is FTL.

As you all know Vin Diesel is a Tauren Paladin. No one is quite sure what he actually looks like. My new Avatar is dedicated to what I assume Vin Diesel looks like as a Tauren Paladin. Yes, he's duel-wielding two handed weapons. He's Vin Diesel. He can do it. Discuss.

Chances are I'm going to wait a little bit, I just started my job again so I'll have some money in the bank soon. $500 is what I got refunded from Dell, so that's my currnet budget, but I'll probablly wait until I've got 1000-1500 before I make a purchase.

Awesome guys, I'm definitely going to look over this stuff. I think I'm just going to wait a few weeks and make some money so I don't have to upgrade later. Feel free to post more ideas.

Hmm. I've still got a gig of ram, a 100 gb hard drive, cd/dvd burner, a bunch of pieces of this computer that are in perfect working condition. Maybe I should order a barebones laptop and play mix and match =)

So many of you know about the computer problems I've been suffering. I finally got my laptop back today after sending it in for repair. I say finally because it's been almost a month. Yeah. DHL lost it in transit to my house. But hey, I got my computer back! I go to turn it on... hey... this is interesting... it still won't work. So I call the phone number they gave me. I get bounced from tech support person to tech support person at least six times before they just plain hang up on me. So, I decide to try Chat Support. I finally talk to a guy who is actually talking to me instead of transferring me. After I give him all of my information and we talk for a bit, he tells me that my computer was not repaired. The motherbord for it is no longer available, so basically Dell charged me $465.00 to do absolutely nothing. I got the money refunded to my account, so I'm happy about that. Just, with all the shit I went through about this, I'd strongly push anyone away from purchasing a Dell. People warned me when I did, and I should have listened. Your mission, should you choose to accept it: Build me a computer for around $500.00. List parts, prices, etc. Do it and I will <3 you forever. Or just laugh at me and tell me to quit being lazy. I dunno, I guess I'm hoping someone is bored and will tell me exactly what I need to purchase. It's 530am. I'm going to bed. -Dez

Yeah. I've done quite a bit of AB with FP, not as much as a lot of others, but I'd like to consider myself a regular. Not only has FP come a long way as PvE is concerned, but the people who regularly show up for the AB battles typically found after raids are also doing a tremendous job. I've never seen us steamroll people as well as we did tonight. I mean we had two 5-caps in AB tonight which was just astounding. Great job to everyone who was there, pretty soon we'll be owning as much as (or more) than LD. I'd also like to thank Beorn, who has pretty much assumed command of our nightly AB teams. I don't think our success would be possible without you bro. Thanks.

For some reason I can't actually see currency or items in online gaming being taxed. If they are, I see the swift downfall of online gaming.

After reading this post, and hearing about the way some other guilds go about things, this is crucial info. During the Vael fight which we are quickly approaching threat management is the difference between victory and defeat. Every little bit of reduced threat our healers can get is key. Anyways it's late and I'm rambling, and I guess I wanted to put a little bit more in here than /bump. Good find Bentley.

We're a casual/hardcore mix of a guild. We have attributes that appeal to the casual side of people (which it seems you are a part of), and attributes that appeal to the hardcore side of people (The people who raid every week). It's taken us a LONG time to get where we are in MC, and if we didn't have our hardcore base of members, we'd still be wiping on the first giants. That doesn't mean we don't like our casual members to attend these raids. The thing with your post was, you were basically saying "I wouldn't mind going to MC if it's going to be short and sweet". Not the best attitude to have around people who have done a ton of work to get where we are today. Just my two cents. Basically, it comes down to this: If you want the epic gear, you have to put in the time and energy to do so. It's epic for a reason, not everyone who plays the game is going to have a shot at it. We're lucky we're in a guild like FP where every member is given a shot at endgame instances. If you're happy in all blues, then that's fine. If you want to PvP for gear, that's a good route too, one accomplishable as you said, without sitting there for hours upon hours without a break in the action. Even if you can't get GM you can get some pretty sick stuff from Rep with AB/AV/WSG. There's ways to get great gear without doing tedious endgame, but however you want to do it, if you want the good gear, you're going to work for it. Or, you could go buy gold. That works too.
