Klaudia 0 Report post Posted September 13, 2006 now lemme just say i'm not a huge fan of poetry buuuuuut i wrote this poem a while ago and i enjoy its existence. all kinds of critique are welcome! i'll prolly post something longer later, but this is just for now. i’ve heard this song many times beforei know every wordevery syllable inside every wordevery tone inside every syllableas they slip off his slurring mouthand drip onto the microphoneclumsily staggering aboutin a drunken statethey’ve got a sense of beauty in their motion,just enough tofade intoand blacker than inkthey dance together in a waltz. i know every beat, every notebirthed by the instrumentshanging in the air, screaming like fireworksbrighter than the sunand ill feel them as they choke down my throatscratching my lungs as they travel deepdown into my heart where they matter mostwhere ill keep themand ill remember them when i hear this song again. - amanda c.
