TeAhnPrime 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2005 I would imagine that theyre are going to be more classes as well as new races. And how are they going to discuss the 10 additional talent points, because some classes are going to seriously wtfpwn. Warriors for one will be able to gain specializations in any weapons and gain a HUGE advantage while still filling up the fury tree. Heliacon 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2005 They should make a Monk-ish class. I'd play it. Hell, I'd convert Heliacon over to it. I swear if they ever implemented double fist weapons or, even better, double hammers for a Holy Warrior-type fella, I'd be all over it xD But, Blizzard sucks, so I know they won't =/
Xarn 0 Report post Posted October 21, 2005 Well, if the Alliance DOES get Pandarens then one of the classes they can be would probably be a Monk Heilacon. The Drunken Monk Pandaren was a fun guy to play around with in the previous Warcraft.... Â edited for spelling - I'm a crappy typist. Esteban 0 Report post Posted October 23, 2005 Blood elf are magic addicts. Undead have life problems... soo i gues the undead somehow saw benefit in alling with the Blood elf to cure their curse, and the blood elfs allied to the undead and the horde cuz they are pissed at the alliance (since they abandoned them when the scourge took over)Â Pandaren would be a wierd race for the alliance... I think a more fitting race would be the furblogs since they are so good friends of the night elves ^^

Arcadius 0 Report post Posted October 24, 2005 I only have one thing to say to this.... Illidan is DEAD!. If you never finished the expansion he was slain by Arthas in a one on one duel. Therefore he cannot and will not be the world boss for the Blood Elves, It will more then likely be the Blood Elf Prince himself with the Naga Queen as his Advisor(think Sylvanas and the Dreadlord).  And as it goes since they've done it with the forsaken, the Blood Elves can easily be attached to the horde with a lower faction starting at nuetral instead of friendly like they did with the Undead and the Horde. They can also do the same thing on the alliance side so if your looking for an alliance race try looking at some of the more neutral races of WC. Thanks,Arc PS: Still love you all to death. Dagorian 0 Report post Posted October 24, 2005 Illidan is not dead... although it is clear that he lost to the lich king arthas... lady vashj and prince kael'thas rescued him and rushed him back to outlands where he later recovered. He sits on his throne in draenor apparently gone insane, according to malfurion, as he is convinced that he defeated arthas... I agree however that the blood elves will probably start at neutral like the undead do. Arcadius 0 Report post Posted October 24, 2005 First off where are you finding you information, cause that's definatly not the way it went off in the game. If your pulling it from those other books that blizzard is letting authors write I wouldn't include them into the story.Unless it took place in the story line of the games themselves I seriously don't count it as part of the story line. TeAhnPrime 0 Report post Posted October 24, 2005 ZOMG ARC GET BACK ON THIS GAME! Maybe the new races wont be tied to either faction, but you can choose which side you would like to fight for? just a thought

Dagorian 0 Report post Posted October 24, 2005 I got it from the Warcraft Lore in wow.com and the information from wowwiki.com supports it as well... Dagorian 0 Report post Posted October 25, 2005 Meh... i was just reading up on pandarens... in terms of a potential playable race... its totally plausible. They would be similiar in size to the tauren so blizzard wouldnt hv to go out of their way to make new animations etc etc. Like the blood elves... there has been little to no association with their race... and since the blood elf starting location is north of epl and no one has been there before - the pandaren empire is unknown as well. However... warcraft lore says otherwise... the empire is neutral.. like the goblins however there is hardly any contact with the alliance nor the horde... they are a solitary race. Apparently... they hv brewmasters who roam around kalimdor looking for ways to make new concotions. The only recorded associaton of pandarens are with the horde where Chen Stormstout helped Rexxar, champion of the horde, on several of his adventures... and this is interesting... he helped thrall defeat admiral proudmoore's incursion in theramore... so there's no known reason why the pandarens would side with the alliance since most of the pandaren's association has been with the horde... despite them being an ideal race to make playable due to their background.  Its killing me to find out wat the new playable race for the alliance will be... Dagorian 0 Report post Posted October 26, 2005 Something hit me last nite... while thinking over the 'proof' we had about upcoming updates in the expansion... first of all... how does blizzard plan to implement a lvl70 cap increase without introducing hero classes? Wouldnt that just create huge imbalance issues? I mean that would be unfair... everyone could just race to 70 and then instances up to MC would be piss easy with 40 70s.If you made all the high-end instances harder and increase lvl cap of items... then it'd be unfair to the guilds that hvnt had a chance to engage in higher-end instances. It would suck to ban players above 60 from current instances so getting tier0-tier2 items would never happen to them.Maybe introduce a quest to start the lvlcap increase when players feel ready to progress further? Please... we all know we'd love to skip as much as possible and get the cap increase and reach 70 asap - this would cause a lot of bypassing of content. How about a quest that requires you to be full tier1/tier2? Yea... a select few of full epic players running around ganking 60s for days on end.I wont even get to the talent trees... 10 more points will really make classes overpowered and the whole tree system would hv to be reworked or mayb the next 10lvls... you dont get talent points which would just piss the community off. I'd love a cap increase... but i'm not convinced with how blizzard plans to pull this off. Now we get to the new races... first of all... the starting location of the bloodelves happens to be rite next to EPL... a lvl 56+ contested zone... obviously they'd hv to keep that northern road blockaded to prevent massive ganking from newb 60s. But then the BE would hv to move thru lordaeron after leaving their starting location... thru forsaken territory... WC lore has said that the 2 archenemies of the BE will always be the NE and the scourge... fine these undead are not under the lich king's influence anymore but still.. they're undead... and for an enraged race... it shouldnt really matter where the UD are aligned too.. fact remains they played a large factor in bringing down the high elves... .On top of that... the BE should still be faithful to illidan... and he, to an extent, is still under the influence of kil'jaeden... both want to wipe out the undead... doesnt matter that the forsaken arent the scourge anymore.. they're still part of a master plan that went wrong and poses a threat to the burning legion.Anyway... the pics we've seen of the BE area only shows npcs... we hvnt seen anything concrete that shows us a lvl1 BE. And to support this... we hvnt even seen/heard anything about a new alliance race... there's nothing that comes close...  Also... in terms of balance... we dont need 2 new races... what we hv now is fine and there're still balance issues... blizzard should correct this now instead of potentially creating a whole new batch of problems on top of the ones we already hv. The only reason i can remotely think of why new races should be introduced is to give players the choice to start over and still catch up with the other more established races with 60s and epics. If weblizzard waits too long... then introducing new races might be awesome but not many players would want to start all over again.  Just to add... i want to be proven wrong... seriously. Its just a lot of what we've heard is speculation and i dont want to get my expectations too high and then get disappointed. =/
Esteban 0 Report post Posted October 26, 2005 Or maybe the blood elves joined the horde because they wanted to infiltrate it, and gain their trust. While illidan prepared something to throw at them... OH OH! if so then Illidan would need another race to infiltrate the alliance! who better than the Dranai? They hate the orcs, so they would gladly team up with the alliance to oblirerate the horde? no? yes?
Dagorian 0 Report post Posted October 28, 2005 Despite all the speculation... looks like its pretty close to being official... we hv all the info being published on a gaming magazine... i was browsing thru wowguru.com and came across this - http://www.wowguru.com/forums/showthread.p...56264#post56264 Anyway... we'll know for sure after this weekend but looks like the rumours we hv been raving about for over month are true. Although the map of draenor looks way different from what i expected... i remember reading that draenor was supposed to compromise of 'islands' of the former planet as it was destroyed and that you needed special lvl70 mounts to fly from island to island or something... .
