Avimar 0 Report post Posted March 1, 2010 Yeah, we have been doing this in healthcare for a while. It's continious compressions at 100 bpm, with no pauses for respirations unless there is a second rescuer or ALS is implemented. I teach both BLS and ACLS, and this has been official for about 2 years and is now making it's way to the general public now. As an interesting side note, the BeeGee's song 'Staying Alive' is almost exactly 100 beats/min, so it's a perfect training song to practice compressions to. Isn't that fun? lol.
