Good god... another incredibly awesome item I most likley won't get.

Well, I personally prefer the system Order of Kain uses; or at least how I understand it. The way Shoop explained it to me, is that it's a mix of DKP and the standard rolls. Essentially, you earn points which are added to your roll, so if you have 50 points you would do a /random 150, and such. It retains the element of luck, while giving people in good standing an advantage. DKP itself though is something I don't find attractive. I've made several statistical analyses of the system, and in all, it is completely fair. However, my biggest point of contention is the chance to acquire an item on each raid. For example: I can't make any runs on Saturdays. As such, by the next MC run, I'll be behind by two raids. What does that mean? I need to go on raids where I'll have zero chance of acquiring an item, before I'm effectivley in the system. To me, that is annoying as hell. I don't go to UBRS to get gold to purchase drops, I go there for the drops themselves! It effectively makes me go to MC just to show up. Now, suppose we get a new member. What happens? Even if they attend every raid, they need to wait till most members who have been "in" longer than them get a drop. As you can see, this puts a nice big damper on recruiting for those 60s we need for MC. As I understand it, our goal is to be able to do the instance as a guild, with DKP in place, I have a feeling achieving it will be an increasingly difficult task.

I do belive they add everyone who was on a raid, no matter what guild they are in. This can be seen by the current listing as seen at: http://www.aeternumguild.net/wowdkp/listmembers.php

I had a feeling something like this was coming...

Yah, I read that a few days ago. It's great

A very good idea for druids , shamans, and paladins.

Yes, I'd also like some tips to beating a mage. Hell, a lvl 52 mage came pretty close to taking me down a while back. Luckily, he blinked in the wrong direction and I used my stopwatch to run away. -
The 1.6 Patch will be released during server maintenence tomorow. check it
-
I voted for the long one, just because it'll be easier to call us by our normal names than type that every time.

Well, here's the download site to be more specific for those who don't notice the "Get Google Earth" messege: http://desktop.google.com/download/earth/index.html

Man, you guys need to check out earth.google.com ! This is by far, the coolest thing, ever! Words can't fully describe it. Go now!

FYI dragon, the devs are looking into it and "Have many ideas of how to fill this [ranged] slot" See the "Uther's Hammer" thread on the pally forums: http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.a...mp=1#post210163 -
I dunno... I perfer Tauren m'self. [beer Basted Tauren Ribs] FTW! You have to make sure to get them young though, they tend to get hard and bony after a while.

Yay! The Teahn is back! Prepare to get owned in a duel, fool! Anyway, it's awesome to see that people come back, and not just leave.
-
Hehe...I have an alt of every class but warrior as of right now. Yet, I don't have alt issues!
-
Yay! Cal's back! Can't wait to go back to killing mobs with ya! I wouldn't mind starting a new char if a new server was created, though I doubt such a thing happening. I'm pretty set in SC, and unless the bulk of the guild went over, I'd only spend part of my time in the new locale. Oh, and regain your rightful place as webmaster! The other people are too lazy, and we need a nice overhaul.

Which order 66? The one I had as my old sig? "Execute order 66! Initiate Shaman takeover Darth Arthas, you know what to do!" 'Cause I think that's already been done.

Man... a case of Bud, FF3, a can of hotsauce AND the possibility of a bag of chips for a measly $200? Tempting...

I agree that it would be nice, but really I'd perfer that they make the class viable in PvP first, and THEN work on smaller things like this. -
Wow.... the FP logo looks a hell of alot more evil than the old one. I'm scared.

Bah, I go away for a week and what do I see? One message and no pictures! Get to work people!
-
I'm at the SW event now. I have no idea what it is though, OR how many people we need.

Hey, I can quit anytime I swear! In all seriousnes though, I don't spend all my free time in WoW, nor does it take 100% of my financial resouces to keep the habit. $15 a month? Poppycock! Not to mention I'm not defensive when people say "WoW sucks!" and can heartedly agree that it has many flaws, like any game. I'm not drooling over every patch note and piece of info, and my overall feeling on it, as well as other games I like (BF2, H2, ec) is more of a "It's pretty cool, but nothing to dedicate my life to"

Bah, Harry Potter my ass! Let me tell you a little story. In 7th grade the Pokemon fad began to wane, and I decided to look back on it with a critical view. I realized that I had spent most of my time and all of my money over a three year period on something that was completley idiotic and did not benifit me in any way in the present or future. So, I decided to never be as big of a fanboy of anything again, and never to make something like that the center of my life. When Harry Potter came around I saw my buddies fawning over the works, just like they had been in 5th grade. My female friends, bieng at the most hyperactive age, even further alarmed me. I didn't want to be like that. So, I never got into that whole thing, and always look on it with mild revulsion. Log, good thing I have my magical mind's-eye unstretcher.... By which I mean Photoshop Oh, and Rox, you can't look THAT bad, c'mon!

Mayhap I may lead the post to the original purpose? I think I shall. I don't have a camera, or a scanner of my own, so for a bit I thought of sumbmitting something I drew in MS paint. Browsing thorugh the compy though, I found some pictures from when I was teaching my friend to use his camera. So the picture is a picture of me, taking a picture of myself, in a mirror. Crazy ain't it? http://www.imagedump.com/index.cgi?pick=get&tp=269203 Two things about the picture. 1.) The lighting is horrible, and I am, in fact, blonde. How I got that in my genes, I'll never know, my family bieng from south central Russia. (Or Siberia, as it is known) Novosibirsk to be precise. Quite far from Scandenavia. Oh and before anyone asks, it IS cold there, but only in the winter. It varries from -40F in the winter to 100F in the summer or so Crazy continental climate. 2.) The shirt says, and I quote, "Resistance is futile (if 1 < ohm)"
