<333333333 Kappy! Kappy is like... totally old school too, haha. I think I invited her to FP when Kasis was like level 17 and we were questing together in Darkshore. Aelora did the convincing I think... since she was in some other random guild I hadn't tried haha.

Sempher! aka Feath. He was probably the best druid I've ever seen / known. By far. And I'm pretty sure Arty was ahead then Siege came from behind to hit 40 first with the "slow but steady" motto. And yes, damn Justin and David!

I had a long excellent post here defending Sanctitiy's right to be upset/frustrated/annoyed with movies like Anaconda (I haven't seen Snakes on a Plane), but somehow accidentily closed the window. But anyway... imagine someone made a movie that made it look like all MMO players cyber and the public believed it and people who barely touch computers much less video games fueled a political movement to ban MMOs... then maybe you'd be in Sanctity's shoes... except that there are millions of more MMO players than snake-hobbyists. I am sure snake-hobbyists do their part to try to educate people, but movies like Anaconda probably reverse a lot of their hard work, giving them a right to be annoyed and frustrated with the people who produce these movies because they are clearly proferring a differing and incorrect viewpoint, even if it is only to make money. People will do a lot of things for money. Admittedly, I'm pretty ignorant about snakes, even though a childhood friend/neighbor of mine had a couple. I have no idea under what circumstances a snake would actually attack a human and while I'm no more cautious of snakes than I am of alligators or the like... what I don't know about them makes me not trust them. Much of that is likely due to social conditioning. Dogs and cats have sharp teeth and claws, but I'm not scared of them... etc. So it's easy to see why snake-hobbyists would be a little annoyed. There is a vast number of people who are ignorant about snakes and a small number available to educate them. It becomes an extremely difficult task especially when the public spotlight doesn't go to snake-hobbyists but rather to movies like Anaconda that present the opposite viewpoint, which, in essence, is why Sancitity is upset about such movies. Man this wasn't nearly as good as my original post... but after that got deleted I just didn't feel like thinking... plus I have to go marinade some chicken... mmmm chicken curry!

I think we can all agree that stupid people are stupid.

Who does Shoop think is the most shrewd: Gynis, Gryph, or Stang?

Xerox thought the mouse was impractical when they were pitched the idea. I think once this gets a stepping stone for corperate use it will skyrocket. Someone picking up the idea is key... Xerox ditched the mouse and keyboard, but others picked it up I'm sure researchers and universities will jump all over that. I wouldn't be surprised to see the topic enter HCI classes this fall.
-
Yeah... unfortunately stuff happened this summer. btw ecth... evan still has more posts than you....

that makes me want to take an HCI class.... even though the classes are nothing like that I'd still get the experience .... people at tech are more into the wearable computers... one of my professors wears one pretty much all the time
