Wrath of the Lich King will chew Warhammer up and spit it out. There is nothing in the foreseeable future that will stop the WoW machine. I do, however, think that you kids and your endurance for new MMOs is pretty amazing. My MMO days are done, I can't stomach another one.

Obviously time speeds up when particles collide and it'll be September for it but it's August for us. It doesn't matter when, it'll be either completely a waste of everyones time (like Y2K) or AWESOME in two ways 1. Complete break down of society due to extra dimensional creatures coming through a wormhole created by the machine 2. Discovery in physics that will be amazing to everyone who understands it. I'm crossing my fingers for #1 still...as long as there are not creatures that attack the face or those weird Alien sucking spider things...

This is an amazing opportunity for us to move forward in our scientific understanding of the world. I can't wait to hear about the results (and not understand them fully or really at all). If the results are as radical as I hope then this will be a major breakthrough on the level of Einstein's theory of relativity. We might finally see strings! I've always been a big fan of block rating/stamina and then block value. I want by block rating as high as possible in order to take x amount off the top of the damage that the boss does. I prefer block rating over dodge/parry due to the stability that block rating provides for the healers in the group. I want healers to know that the boss usually takes "x" amount off my health bar so the "oh crap" heals can be saved when I really need them. Also the stability makes sure that they use their mana wisely and don't over heal because they aren't sure if you'll dodge. Dodge/parry tend to be too random and overall dodge is better left for bear tanks. Also, since people tend to go nuts on damage due to the time pressure of ZA, I would rather take a hit and therefore have rage in order to add threat then dodge and lose on the rage. I agree though, stam is the main start and then go for block and after that whatever else you lack...though stay to dodge and less on parry. I ulimately shoot for 20-25% dodge, 25% or so block, parry doesn't matter. Of course 490 defense. HP is always as high as you can get it without sacrificing the other stats. The best I got my block rating is high 800 or so, but that's with T5 bonus also.

I think this is more cultural, to answer your earlier question Matt, about why other countries can do it and American seems to be lagging behind. Much like any social movement, it takes time for the general public to catch up to the thinking of the more progressive people. You have to remember, it wasn't that long ago US had separate fountains for whites / blacks. This isn't really civil disobedience, but the same rationale applies (at least I think so). I would recommend to anyone "Letter from Birmingham Jail" by Martin Luther King Jr, it truly shows how hard it is to have a cultural movement or reverse thinking. I suppose the stance here is "Why not ask and tell?" and I think mostly the answers are for morale purposes. The army generally doesn't want to know because the guys in the army would feel threatened and there might even be violence etc on the base. We are all conditioned a certain way when we grow up, conditioning is inevitable. We were conditioned by our environment to accept certain traits and not others, before it was blacks vs whites, now that's more so gone or at least subsided. It's homosexuals vs heterosexuals. Though it used to be accepted back in the Greek days, since the Christian church took over, it's been burn the homos! Again, conditioning...and now think about where conditioning is critical...where you need people to react and not to think. Military. I'm not going to argue Christian beliefs (though I'd love to) yet I tend to think the Military would be the slowest of the social movements. I also don't want to seem that I am putting idealists above pragmatists, because I'm not. Yet, it is the idealists that set out policies and then tend to influence social conditions, the military is more of the bouncer that makes sure the think tank nerds can sit around (People Front of Judea!). Sort of simple, but I'm pretty sure at this point I'm just writing for myself Also, socially...homosexuality (though more accepted now then it was about 20 years ago) still isn't fully accepted as a facet of life. It's more of a...sort of a "fad" right now...people tend to think of homosexuals as cartoon characters and that's because the media portrays them as such. (They are great at cooking, being well dressed, having great taste in fashion) Those are all true of course, but it is a generalization which tends to bring in other generalizations with in. One of them being that homosexuals are like...wild horny manbeasts! Like vampires they just attack the first straight male they see! RUN! (no really, run...Matt is one of them!) let's just go back to DOS and forget this fancy GUI stuff. I want to wrestle with my operating system. I want my UI unresponsive, abstruse and completely unintuitive! If I make a mistake I want only three options Abort, Retry or Fail. No....please fix this for me computer, It's either A. Type the same thing again and get the same answer...stop doing it...or just FAIL...which is DOS's way of saying turn off your computer and go to bed...you're done.
