So there is a chain of quest that you get from Duke Hydraxis in Azshara. Along with getting the water that is needed in MC for the Runes, you also get your choice of 2 rings; Ocean's Breeze and Tidal Loop. Here is the location of Duke Hydraxis. http://www.forgottenprophets.com/images/TBRaid/DukesLoc.JPG So you make the long trek to the Duke and he gives you a nice little starting quest. Stormers and Rumblers where you have to go kill x15 Dust Stormers and Desert Rumblers in Silithus. In the following map, the Red Circles are where the Stormers are and the Blue circle is where the Rumblers are. http://www.forgottenprophets.com/images/TBRaid/StormsandRumbles.jpg So now you have killed 30 mobs for the Duke in farmer filled sands but he isn't done with you yet. Next comes the quest Poisoned Water which will be done in Eastern Plaguelands. You will be fighting Plague Ravagers around the lakes in EPL. The Duke gives you an item, Aspect of Neptulon, that you will use on the Ravagers which will change them into Discordant Surges which is the only way to get the Discordant Bracers to drop. You will need 12 of the Bracers. The elementals can be found in the circled arounds of this map. http://www.forgottenprophets.com/images/TBRaid/PoisonedWaters.JPG So now you make the long voyage back to the Duke to find out he is not done with you yet. The next is Eye of the Emberseer (Raid) in UBRS. You have to slay Pyroguard Emberseer in order to get the Eye of the Emberseer. That is the end of this quest so you get to run back to the Duke. So here is your next task, The Molten Core (Raid). This one is easy since you will finish this quest while on our weekly MC raids. You have to kill x1 Molten Giant, x1 Firelord, x1 Ancient Core Hound, and x1 Lava Surger. Piece of cake. If you're lucky and Gryph is in a good mood he might even let you port out real quick during a raid to turn this quest in and get the next one. Now in order to get the last quest you have to be Honored with the Hydraxian Waterlords, if you are not, there is no reason to go turn in the last quest since it is such a long run, but if you are honored here is the next quest, Hands of the Enemy (Raid). This is the quest you have probably hear about where everyone needs to get their "Hands." You have to get the hand off of Lucifron, Gehennas, Shazzrah, and Sulfuron (all the lizard bosses before Domo). That is it for the quest chain. You get those hands and go back to the Duke and he gives you Aqual Quintessence so you can start helping with the summoning of Domo. And after he gives you that he will give you another quest where you jump in the water around the island and there is a box you open where you get to choose one of the before mentinoed rings. So, that's it, how to get a +15 FR ring in this game. Happy Hunting SMASH!!!

But our goals at the moment are to get as much FR as possible and this rep reward is in reach of most players because of the number of Baron runs most people end up doing. ZG is an instance we are going to but we aren't putting full MC type work into it. Don't get me wrong, I would love to have the added AP but its going to be a long ways away for most of us.

but here's another thought. Do they have a set schedule where they do the same bosses on the same day of every week. I think our rotating schedule could have a hand in why we haven't taken him down yet. I'm just posting as I think of these things. All good things will come to us as we put forth the effort. I'll try to get the hunters rallied towards some FR gear to get us prepared. Maybe we can also start a thread in the Item Trading Forum of what mats are needed for the Fire Resist Pots and other Pots we need to bring so more than just Miroku can farm for this stuff. Let's try to give Gryph a dead Rag from Xmas

Well, they might have more MC experienced people then us and according to warcraftrealms.com they have 165 people in the guild. We have 402. I would be willing to wager that they have a more regular group of people going to these raids then we do. In either case, maybe since Mr. Xarcostus himself finds his way to our boards on a regular basis, maybe he would be kind enough to make an appearance in this thread And Stang I agree, Rag before 2006. Also how about this, a dead Vael for my birthday this Wed. Is everyone willing to give me that as a present

Ok, I'll Start Gryph. First of all I will be there whenever I can. This last weekend ended up being too much gaming on Sat which equaled more time for Luc on Sun. It just had to be done. Now for Rag, I personally feel we needs a bit more gear to take him on. More FR gear for melee which means we need more Cores from MC. For casters and ranged people I think more MC gear will help us out. I think in about a month we will be more properly geared for Rag. We are on 2 of the hardest bosses in the game on the moment, Rag and Vael. We will be taking them down sooner than later, there is no doubt in my mind about that. After all we are FP and we are famous. I think this new reset for MC that Blizzard has put in will also help our cause. I would say we start MC on either Wed or Fri, and alternate which one we start it on every week. This starting day will be from Luci to Shazz. If on a Wed we don't get to Shazz then that is what we use Fri for. Now that leaves us both Sat and Sun to schedule another run. We take out 3 more bosses so there is some loot on those day and it gets us warmed up a little before tackling Rag. The most important thing is getting the right raid built for Rag. Last Wed we had a great mix of classes and that would have been perfect for a Rag attempt. One thing about us that I have noticed is that we are heavy on healer types. I truely believe we have more priest and druids in here than other guilds (especially compared to dps classes). If we can get that little extra bit of DPS in there and everyone is decently geared, Rag is going down. No doubt in my mind.

I've only been in 4 AVs now so I think I am still in Friendly, probably not even 1/2 through it yet. That is one think I am aiming for though, its nice that I can get a quiver/ammo pouch that rivals the one from our Epic Bow Quest.
