Laptop hard drives use the same protocol that desktops do to "talk" with your hardware. Flip your laptop over, unscrew panels until you find the hard drive (it will be skinnier but still look like one,) then plug that hard drive into another computer (don't unplug the primary hard drive for the computer you are plugging this drive into.) boot up the new computer and it should recognize the drive. From that point find what you want to copy and drag/drop off of it. Option B: Buy an external USB hard drive or if possible just the shell for one, open it up and plug the latptop drive into it, and connect the USB cable to your good laptop. Two things worth a try. OMGHAIDEZIMISSYOU

Not really vista lite, its the same kernel same core components only they removed the crap that bothered people about vista (which is pretty easy to do yourself) and then added better functionality for media, the start menu, and the task bar. That and I believe it is going to support multi touch monitors.

I enjoy how much we have gotten away from separation of church and state. If you don't like it, don't participate in it, they are only delaying the inevitable anyway. Then again you can't be taken seriously as a presidential candidate unless you are a christian. /rolls eyes.

I think we're all speculating quite a bit as to what is going on. I agree that we have the "oldest" server but does anyone know for a fact that it is still running on the same hardware? And I agree with Pete, there is no way it would be down for more than a day. They would get everything but the character database up and running then copy it over on the normal maintenance window.
