The Horde with their snowballs and holiday cheer cry like little girls when Ecthelion is near. Think of it in a context outside of the video game itself. The line between virtual and real is becoming more blurred every day. With people buying in game currency for real currency, people selling virtual items and characters for substantial amounts of $, and companies being formed to offer servicies for leveling etc. How is it such a big leap to tax it this new economy? You pay sales tax on a car when you buy it, or on other online purchases if the company you're buying from is the same state you live in (assumed US). This isn't that big a leap. Shad, don't you go eyeing the democrats, the republican's made a fine mess, partly the reason they're no longer in power. Or simply leave out the politics.

While I agree with the basic idea of your statement. I disagree on your conclusion. The two party system is only a failure if the moderates on both sides cannot be heard. I don't think it's so much of they can't be heard as they choose not to speak loud enough. As far as your analisys of a third party president, you're quite correct. But all of the alternative to the big two are just more extreme then the current parties. A unity ticket is much more likely and would be much more effective in leadership. I also think that it would bring a record voter turnout. The founding fathers had misgivings about the two party system. They were afraid that it would lead to devisiviness, and bickering. Which it has, but it also forces dialouge. It's just our misfortune/choice by those we elect that politians never seem to transgress into the realm of statesman. The system, any system, only works if those participating can look beyond their own narrow disires.

Pray that the american taxpayer isn't as stupid as I belive them to be. I always held faith in the intelect of the american people, that was until Bush the lesser was re-elected, and yes I voted in that election. I've chosen not to in this one because I disllike all of the candidates I've been presented with. Every election I've participated in I've always cast a vote against someone. Never for someone, and thats a terrible way to run a democracy. So I'll excersize my right to obstain from this mired and sullied process.
