If Stang put a shield on Gryph and then tossed the Prayer of mending on him, they would cover nearly 2k of the dmg that Gryph was taking between the shield absorbing and then the 800 heal when he took dmg.

Prayer of Mending and a Shield will in effect give a target about 2k+ worth of free dmg. That is a pretty hot spell. What if Shadow Word Death is partially resisted? Wonder if the caster takes the full or partial dmg. Since the spell DID actually hit for X dmg, although some was resisted, the priest should be hit for the full amount, imo. And Shades of Darkness could be the most ridiculous talent I have ever seen. Period.
