That looked like it turned into a "mob mentality" kinda thing. Obviously, she was there under false pretenses, and was trying to get information from those guys as a peer, not as a reporter, so that alone was enough to get her tossed... But, they seemed kinda like the stereotypical geeks as they chased her down the street, while she was basically realizing that she was not very good at the career she chose (investigative journalism). ZOMG, pretty blonde girl is in our base, talking to our manz - let's get her!!! All in all though, her trip to DEFCON = FAIL.
