What does this diagram represent?

Hint: This is the area of total annihilation if something in particular happens again. It has happened before. Sorry for all the Mountain West trivia, just what I know best xD

It blew up once before benny! I Seen the ashes!

In SLC you can go down a few hundred feet at this exhibit. They show you the ashes, they're over 100 feet deep of compressed ashes. I dont remember how high that was (they said) when they first fell, but I imagine it was a hell of a lot higher when it wasn't compressed and first landed.

It's the Continental Divide. All rain water that falls west of this line will flow westward toward the pacific or south. All rain water east of it drains out to the Atlantic or gulf of mexico.

The Jordan River in Utah drains from South (Utah Lake) to North (The Great Salt Lake). I just thought ya'll would find that interesting.

This is interesting too. The link below tells you more about the Great Salt Lake and the freshwater lake it used to be. There are a few hypothesis out there that are quite interesting to hear about why the Great Salt Lake is not as big as Lake Bonneville was.
