Some one post the leaked expansion info!

I have a feeling it's real. There so much buzz and hype around Warhammer at the moment they probably figured they needed to give WoW players something new and different to get excited about. Also, I'm very sure that this expansion will be released the same day as Warhammer Online.

 

I completely agree, but I'd be willing to bet it's not going to be on the same day, probably a few days before or after.

 

For stang: Kill boss, get loot. That's WoW, and almost every other MMO, in a nutshell. I just hope that they do something new and different in WAR, something that reeks of epic struggle, or I'm going back to FPS where I started. Which are much less of a time sink and much more fun for me at the moment. I mean whose going to tell me to get in the back and heal them when I'm sporting an automatic rifle? Broken classes be damned.

 

Bib I swear to God I'll kick you into next week if you pick that up and run with it.

I don't think one hero class per expansion is false. Consider they dynamic of adding a class. It changes everything and everyone. Releasing four hero classes would be an epic fail.

 

But it makes me think of what 'objects' a person would have to meet in order to unlock the character. I have a feeling GG and Fior will be the first Deathknights on SC!

My only issue with this is how there's going to be 1 hero class, and pretty much everyone's going to be playing it. Imagine if the entire world were Ret Pallies for example...

I was about to make a witty comment about how you're in the back dead and I'm the one always saving your ass in 2142, but then I remember a specific round I caught like 5 APC mines, 2 walkers, a tank and 4 bullets with my face. I think your defibrillator broke that round.

 

But I completely agree about WoW and Warhammer. What happened to games where you actually spent time just playing instead of grinding or practicing for hours in instances for the next gear level up. With WoW its all about leveling up your character.

 

They just need to add a town like Shat that we can take over as alliance or horde, (a city that "mattered") that'd be Warhammer in a nutshell.

 

I think the only thing in common War and WoW will have is the play style. Toolbars, targeting and button mashing. WoW will never have a PvP that matters because the majority of people are alone together in an instance away from everyone else.

 

Ever play Planetside? I imagine it'll be like that as far as capping towns and cities. Which was great! Planetside was amazing with its assault progression and combat. And it worked.

ZOMG I never made the comparison between Warhammer and Planetside but if they manage to pull it off that way I'd be thrilled. Planetside really did a great thing for MMO strategy in terms of pvp and if Warhammer could further that cause I'd be all for it.

Planetside laid out the perfect MMO PvP strategy for progressive assaults. You felt like you were in a war. A three way battle royal. Along with the progression of character. BF2142 took notes and did the same thing. As you level up you are allowed access to more powerful tools. Characters themselves weren't more powerful, simply the tools they could use.

Quake, CoD, UT and HL all lost their luster a long time ago for me. Can't wait to get a hold of Crysis.

I bet your arguements for not using Vista could also be used for not using XP

my arguement is that i know how to use XP.

It's not that bad, my mom is using Vista and she just learned how to cut and paste last year and my dad keeps AOL around so she doesn't have to get used to IE. Odds are my next box will have Vista and I'll get a head start in learning it before it becomes the normal OS at work.

I actually love using vista. I just hate how it makes my games run like crap.

If you want your games to run really well you'd use Win98 and kill the explorer.exe processing

I use Vista. It's not bad. Just gotta get a good comp to run it with.

Gar I heard in Warhammer if you're a Dwarf as you grow in exp your beard also lengthens haha... that's enough to attract me to it and I know you as a dwarf enthusiast might be intrigued as well. Dwarves reunited? I think so...
