stangmeister 0 Report post Posted June 5, 2007 Boooo Boo. http://www.mmo-champion.com Betcha cant guess by who. I kinda was hoping for a well, i guess a hard boss / gear check. Every instance had them, patchwerk, vael, to some degree Ragnaros or Huhuran. I mean, it seems that you could pretty much just clear SSC/TK a few times to get attuned and never go back. I remember back when I'd be envious of people running around wiht benedictions and tier 1, before 2 was even in game. Then again when 2 came out. They need to / I hope they slow down with adding tiers of gear to the game. It makes it feel less worth it when you get say tier 4, because literally the next raid tier 5 can drop, then six after you're attuned. Just a strange way to do it. To me, it seems to be making people lose intrest since there isn't really anything they're shooting for. Any "ashkandi" type weapon is replaced in a different instance already for example. Or the AQ 40 Staffs, pugios and what not. (up until BT). Maybe we'll max out at tier 6 for a while. /shrug! The Legendary didn't drop, but they did find it. Gogo Melee dps legendary SET! Dagorian 0 Report post Posted June 6, 2007 it's pretty scary... but i think blizzard really shot themselves in the foot with the move to 25-mans. i agree with what a lot of the top guilds hv said... the smaller the raid, the more manageable they become - therefore, easier to conquer content. now blizzard will find themselves churning out content to keep the hardcore players happy. and it doesnt matter if the top guilds quit or fall apart... they'll be replaced by others. plus its become a huge competition to get first kills... getting sponsors... fanclubs... when MC/BWL first came out... this didnt exist... the incentive to get first kills asap is much higher now than it was back then. i really dont think it'll affect nihilum much tbh... after their KT kill they effectively stopped raiding til TBC... they'll probably do the same after they've killed illidan several times. they're probably gonna finish off archimonde first tho. Wow, I couldn't disagree more. World firsts/server firsts don't mean shit anymore, and therefore not much of a competition. It use to mean something. Now there are so many instances, so many bosses, that no one really cares. Its like, "oh, another boss dead, meh". Blizz reps have stated repeatedly that they want all of BC raid instances to be completed by all the raiding guilds, there are no more "uber elitist" guild only bosses like Naxx. They knew when making Naxx that only a few people would have time and the skill to finish it, and they've chosen not to do anything like that in BC. So if the encounters are designed to be accessible to guilds like us, then of course to guilds like Nihilum the bosses are going to be cake. That diminishes the value of a "world first" greatly. It isn’t because 25 man raids are easier to manage, and therefore more productive, it’s just that Blizzard has chosen to tune raid encounters in a way that allows all raiding guilds the ability to complete it. And I doubt they’ll be rushing to add new content just for the sake of a few guilds. If those guilds complete shit months before others, then it’s their own fault if they get bored with the game. The only other raid that Blizz has mentioned for BC is Zul’Amon, a 10 man. I doubt they’ll be anymore 25 mans til the next XP, which will be god knows when in ’08. stangmeister 0 Report post Posted June 6, 2007 Naw, these are all the Pre Patch 25 mans BW. BWL, Naxx, AQ, they were all patched into the game. Im sure we'll get more 25 mans before another XP.
Hykos 0 Report post Posted June 6, 2007 I doubt it. Did you read the post from Tigoil you posted? They got grief for patching stuff in the way they did pre-BC, so now they just threw it all out on the table at once pretty much and said "here ya go, have at it". BT is like THE instance in BC lore-wise. What else could there be? I just don't think they'll be patching in any more going by all the countless interviews and posts that Blizz Dev's and CM's have done. It's just not fitting with what they said they are trying to do with BC raiding.

Esteban 0 Report post Posted June 7, 2007 Considering I have not been playing WoW for more than one month now, and I have quit raiding for close to 7 months as well, I don't think the green grass proverb applies here. I might as well point out that you are fish and completely oblivious to water but that wouldn't be fair and is not my point. The point is that WoW begins to seem like a grind and the things being offered by other games right now seem more appealing. I might be wrong. Still, 2 years stuck in the same game gets a little dull ( I can't handle living in the same town/city/house/ for more than 5 years). it is all about tryin' out new things
