People saw the devices and thought they were bombs! Bomb squads closed down many roads in the area today so they could detonate the devices. Oooops! What exactly is it a hoax of? How do people that flagrantly idiotic get positions of power in our society? Since when does a shitton of LEDs and some AA batteries qualify as an IED? I mean seriously... they look pretty cool, I would probably steal one xD On a different note, ATHF is the shit, and I can't wait for the movie to come out! I actually feel a little baad for the transit worker that reported the first device, but the headhunting politicians who are demanding heads for this stunt are going over the top. It's clear that they're reacting out of embarassment rather than the express concern for public safety. Additionally, these installations had been up for weeks. I think all of the stink about them is to somewhat mask the fact that, HAD they been malicious, Bostonians wouldn't have known until after the smoke started to clear.
