More literature stuffs!

This poem is very recent. I shoed it to a couple of people who really liked it, so I thought I would share it with everyone.

 

 

"Good Morning, Sunshine"

 

 

Good morning, Sunshine!

I have so much to say

of times gone by; of things that passed

in life before today.

 

Good morning, Sunshine!

I find you very dear.

Your warmth fills me again with hope

and takes away my fear.

 

Good morning, Sunshine.

I am starting to see

that you belong to someone else

and that is not to me.

 

Good morning, Sunshine...

I do not understand

why you want to set on me;

why this has to be the end.

 

Good morning, Sunshine.

I'm sorry for what I've done.

Your light has shown me much inside

myself that keeps me from your sun.

 

Good morning, Sunshine!

With your help, I've found my way.

I have new hope in my heart,

and new hope, and new dreams,

and all I want to say...

Is "Good morning, Sunshine!" to you

I like how you use the word sunshine in your writings. I can tell you have a background from the southern states. I could be wrong tho.

 

I enjoy how melodic this is. and the last stanza.... well it is great.

I actually am from Texas. However, that was not the reason the word Sunshine is used.

 

Sunshine is the nickname I gave to a person very dear to me. This poem is about that person.
