Tournament Results - 3rd Annual Wolf Dragoons Golf Tournamen

The day of the tourny dawned overcast with scattered showers. After a power breakfast at McDonalds, the three particpants proceeded to the first tee. Hurricane confidently smacked a drive right down the middle of the fairway. 'Take that, your going down!', he boldy stated. Archangel followed suite with a good drive that landed just out of the fairway. Scintilla had a good swing, but it was obvious that this new golfer would not be much of a factor due to the discrimantory ruling of the Tourn Commissioner to not allow handicaps. By the end of the first hole, Hurricane was already up by one.

 

A light rain began to fall, but the trio pressed on. By the end of the second hole Archangel was down by 2! The third hole was just as bad, with Hurricane picking up yet another stroke. Such an injustice. Finally on the 4th hole, Archangel had a chance to gain back a stroke, but Hurricane drain a 20 footer to tie the hole. Scintilla by now had fallen far back, but gamely continued on. The rain, the great play by Hurricane, and the injustice of dissallowing handicaps continued. Archangel faught back, however, getting the count back to down 1 before the 7th hole. Hurricane was not to be denied however, taking 2 on the 7th and 2 on the 8th. Going into the 9th hole with a 5 stroke lead, Hurricane seemed assured of the victory. At the end of 9, he was indeed leading by 4 shots.

 

And then it happend. Overconfident in his prowess, the Tourny Commissioner extended the tournment by 9 holes! Archangel still had life!

 

On the 10th tee, Hurricane bold step to the tee and proclaimed the ass whooping was going to continue. He promptly pared the 10th hole, but so did Archangel. On the 11th tee, Hurricane dubbed the ball short to the left. Archangel walked up to the tee. Suddenly the sun came out, angels were heard singing in heaven, and Archangel smoked a drive down the left side of the fairway. Just missing a birdie, Archangel still made par and gained back a full 3 strokes. With the frustration evident in his swing, Hurricane again missed his tee shot on the 12th. By the end of that hole, Archangel was actually up by 1! On the 13th hole, Archangel picked up yet another shot. By the 14th, Hurricane's anger was obvious. A par by Archangel later and the lead was 5 shots. How could this have happened! Never mess with the Commander of the Wolf Dragoons, is what. Still, Hurricane did not quit. Gaining back a stroke on the 15th, the trio walked to the 16th tee with Hurricane down 4.

 

Then it happened. Hurricane resorted to internationally condemed use of CBW (Chemical/Biological Warfare). As Scintilla began her backswing the most horrendous sound blasted out. PFWWWT! 'In the middle of my backswing!' cried Scintilla. The stench was awful. With tears comming to his eyes, Archangel looked back to see Hurricane just smilling. Undaunted, Archangel proceeded to tee off. In the middle of his backswing, again the horrific sound! PFWWWT! The ball duck hooked into the trees. And then the karmic miracle happend, the ball hits a tree and bounded back into the center of the fairway! If anything, the stench was worse this time as Archangel and Scintilla sprinted to the cart. by the end of hte hole, Hurricane's dasterdly use of CBW had only garned him a mere stroke.

 

By the 18th hole, Hurricane was down by 3 and desperate. Under pressure, he came through with a stupendous drive. Not to be denied, Archangel followed suite. With the top two participants on in 3, it was over.

 

The winner and still Wolf Dragoons reining golf champion - ARCHANGEL!

Unreal! He is not the martyr he so claims! I was suckered in, I was hornswagled...the injustice is mine I say MINE! In my anger I almost took out a bird...and YES I used CBW! I will not go silently into the night, I will not go down w/out a fight...this shall continue and the next venue for my triumphent victory and return to glory will be in Tampa/clearwater/St. Petersburg area...and Oddysseus will be there to ensure all goes according to the rules of warfare!

 

Prepare yourself Mr. "Injustice" .....
