Snakes on a Plane

Well, I just got from the opening showing of Snakes on a Plane, and boy it was not what I expected at all...

 

It's an Amazing Movie!!! OMG

 

I was thinking going into it that is was gonna be such a bullcrap movie, soo pointless, and stupid... i mean Snakes on a Plane? Who in their right mind would put snakes on a plane.

 

It is a really hillarious movie and a pretty darn good action-packed thrill ride, which I will give oo / 5

 

Basically, an FBI agent (Samuel L. Jackson) must escort an eye-witness to a murder to L.A. to confess who the killer was. As the board Pacific Flight 121, an assasin out to kill the eye-witness unleashes numerous deadly snakes upon everyone on the plane...

 

Yes it sounds really stupid, but its not...

 

Go see it... now!

I'm going tomorrow, maybe I'll go lighter on the whiskey if its as good as you say. Been waiting on this for 8 months now. I was dissappointed in the early summer to hear the movie was being setback due to reshoots...reshoots of awesomeness. "Snakes on a MotherForgotten plane!"

Just too add to this post and convince the rest of you to go...it was awesome. Hvilelos and I were definitely laughing almost the entire time. There's definitely some disturbing snake scenes but you end up laughing anyways. Samuel Jackson uses a spear-gun, a flamethrower and at times his bare hands to simply palm snakes away.

 

Utterly insane movie with no regard for making sense or taking anything too seriously. Hilarious movie; somewhat disturbing...and boobs.

These kinds of movies are what enrage me the most. Just like the STUPID Anaconda movies, and other asinine snake movies, all these do is perpetuate the demonization of snakes. Whether the movie was meant to be stupid or not, all it does is show people even more reasons they "should" fear snakes. What is the point of supporting this? The ignorant and inbred are going to go to this movie and come out saying "See, I told you snakes were evil" and sadly, there are going to be more people coming out of that movie than not, who are saying that.

 

Movies like this make me so angry because all they do is demonize snakes. I know that no snakes are harmed in the making of the movie, but it still pisses me off to no end. From the previews they make the snakes look like they are out to kill everyone and that is the farthest the thing from the truth. Snakes are not going to go out of their way to kill people, but the ignorant are going to believe the sh!t this movie produces, just like they believed the sh!t the Anaconda movies produced.

Well, it IS pretty demonizing, especially because snakes are indigenous to planes. =/ There's stupid people out there, but I really, really hope to God they ain't that stupid.

 

Hopefully, I'll see it sometime this weekend.

lol? They clearly explain in the movie that the only reason the snakes are going crazy and attacking people is because the bad guy sprayed snake pheromones all over the lei's. So, no "demonification" of snakes here. Just a crazy bad guy.

Well I think if people are stupid enough to believe a fictional movie than they should fear the DEMON SNAKES RARRR!!! If we are going to get rid of the crazy snakes movies what about the bats, ants, rabbits (there really is one), bees and all the other crazy animal/bug movies. Its just a movie

The movie was crazy as hell! My friends and I all got up and gave a standing ovation when Samuel L Jackson gives his signature line It was seriously good though, any doubts should be washed away I'm buying the dvd the day it comes out.

 

Snakes don't normally attackl people unless provoked, and i don't want to ruin the plot BUT they explain why these particular snakes do.

You responses are quite interesting, because not being in the snake hobby, you have absolutely NO idea what you are talking about. You have absolutely NO idea how this movie will affect my hobby. The negative impact it will have, just like the other stupid snake movies out there. You know NOTHING about the prejudice that people harbor against snakes for absolutely NO reason at all. These kinds of movies are so detrimental to the snake hobby it's not even funny. Every day people in politics are trying to ban or outlaw the keeping of snakes, and all movies like this do is give them more fuel--whether fictional or not. I am not stupid, I know this movie is fictional, but there are millions of people in this country who are going to see it, and support the banning of snakes and reptiles in general because they are so grossly ingnorant it is not even funny. It happened with the Anaconda movies and the other snake movies--which were OBVIOUSLY not even close to reality, yet people believed them. So don't tell ME it's just a movie, I know that. It's the millions of uneducated who are going to see this movie, who don't know anything at all about snakes, who are going to see it, and believe snakes are evil and man killers, whether sprayed with some magic mist or not.

Keep it friendly kids, locking a snakes on a plane thread would be something I never thought I'd do.

Sanctity, I'm not sure what kind of movie you think this is, but its more of a humorous movie (if you can believe that). Everybody in the theater was laughing nearly the whole time. I don't think a single person walked out thinking less of snakes, or thinking they were evil. Everybody had a smile on their face.

 

Anyway, my main point is this movie is nothing like Anaconda. It's not a real horror movie. If you have seen the Evil Dead series, it's more along those lines.

Ya, I totally agree. Just like that stupid movie that demonized video games! Those kids played it, and when they died in the game they died in real life. I was afraid to play WoW and my parents banned me from video games for like a month. I heard local legislators were looking to completley ban them too. I know exactly how you feel, and it's not cool at all when stuff like that happens.

I just want to say, i've seen it 2 more times, and it is still funny... espeically when that guy goes to the bathroom.
