History of MoM

Shoop

Recommended Posts

so we have a little guild history thing on out main site... and i want to add the history of MoM since the history of FP is actually the history of 2 guilds smashed together to form one uber leet guild. If anyone is willing to write a brief summary for me I will put it on the site. Thanks smile.gif

Perhaps it would be best not to have the history of the preFP guilds. We are Forgotten Prophets. We have united, we are united . Im certainly not saying the preFP guilds dont matter, but they arent nearly as important as the future or FP, and the growth (and loot) we can attain.

To the future of Forgotten Prophets! FP FTW!Hehe.

I thought about that... but a history is a history and should be objective and I didn't think it was a big deal since I believe we all have the right perspective by now

It's sort of weird how everyone dances around the subject of our temporary split as if it were one of those "let's not say the word Black because it would offend the darkie" issues.

If I had to go back and do things differently, I would have made the necessary rank modifications from shoop's account then logged back into mine and made the necessary promotions/demotions. That would have at least disentangled shoop from the whole mess and then we wouldn't have had at least half the drama of "omg he logged on Shoop's account and started promoting/demoting people."

In any case, any history reported by a person will never be objective. All you can hope for is a point of view most people are happy with, and apparently despite all our best efforts, some people still seem to think that I have it out for some people and if mention of my actions ever were to come up again I'd become some sort of guild Mr. Hyde.

Oh well, can't change people's opinions, but at least a srt of synopsis would be nice for those new people who go "huh?" at some of our references.

Actually Kopi, perhaps you'd be amazed, but what I had to say had nothing to do with you, or what had happend. I dont believe what happend was a temporary split, I just remember alot of people trying to work things out. It's been about 3 months now, and things seem to be going pretty well.

Now on too what I had actually ment. I believe looking forward for FP should be at the front of our minds.

But if you want to put up some info about MoM than go ahead. All I really know is , I joined MoM on December 18, I wasnt anywhere near one of the firsts. Than some where towards the end of December was the Boot of '04. Than we joined guilds with KoA. I don't think there is too much too add about it, if there is , can someone fill the gaps for me. Oh...and I was the third person to hit 60 in the MoM, hehe.

Yeah, yanno, for a newbie around here...I sure am confused. Knights of Anubis I know, but what (or who) the hell is MoM? Masters of Monkeys? Oh! Fun. Just someone lay down the skinny and get it over with. >>

I'm not going to go into great detail or anything, but a while back there were 2 separate guilds who knew nothing of eachother (these were Knights of Anubis, and Majestry of Mayhem). One day someone from MoM had brought up the idea of merging with another guild. Initially many of the MoM veterans, including myself thought it was an excellent idea. Knights of Anubis, and Majestry of Mayhem merged into one solid guild, Forgotten Prophets. I am in agreement with Dragon here. No need to reflect on the past. I see FP as a very strong guild that only has on direction to head...straight forward. I will always be good friends with the former MoM members, but I have also made many new friends from the former KoA guild.
