Hykos 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2006 The mic on my cheapo headset sort of broke last week. It works but it swings around in a way it was not designed to do and I'm constantly having to fix it. I was thinking about ordering a Sennheiser headset or an Altec Lansing set that WorstBuy sells. Both are like $45ish and I hate to spend too much more than that, but considering I wear them 15+ hours a week it wouldn't kill me to spend a little more on a good set. What brand/model do yall use and like?
Joesf 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2006 I got some decent Altec Lansing ones from best buy. These right here. http://www.alteclansing.com/product_detail...asp?pID=AHS502I Great head phones. I just put them on my computer desk and use the mic like a desktop mic. Adjustable mic outbound on headphone cord with volume control. I don't use the earphone part really, but they sound great and you can really crank em up before the get distorted. Works great. No problems. 4/5 simply for being base model and lack of shiney. Gryph 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2006 I have this headset Hykos. I absolutely love it. It cost a bit more, but it is worth it! http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller...list&sku=389656

Snarf 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2006 I also use Altec Lansing, they seem pretty decent for the price. I haven't checked out Hykos but it seems pretty nice. I think best buy has some replacement thing for like 7 bucks, so if it messes up with in a 2 year period as long as you didn't like break your headset in half, they replace it. But you have to send them the broken headset, and then they send you a voucher for your price. But the cool thing is, you can use that on anything in the store lol. So for seven $ you get your $45 back. I just takes a little while.

Amitesh 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2006 man seriously, I use headset its cheap, not to big to be sweetin your butt off while in hard core PvP action for a while, or if you live in a hot area, i.e. Florida, sound quality is nice also has a mute button Cheap and works well, at every wally world you go to
siegeman 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2006 I actually went to staples and bought a non-USB one for $7.50, it works well. Pinches the ears a bit, so it's hard to wear more than a few hours but satisfies my needs otherwise.

Frost 0 Report post Posted March 10, 2006 I was wondering the same thing for me.. USB or stereo? which one is better? Stereo is more useful, you can use it for other things, altho USB you can use it on consoles (IE PlayStation2 while playing SOCOM or Rainbow Six) and probably has better sound quality. As for the brand, Id say Logitech, personally I'd go with a neckband one, but it is a personal choice.
