Valdez 0 Report post Posted January 26, 2006 So yeah, I definitely recieved a new motherboard in the mail from Dell today. This is AFTER I shipped my computer out, it took a month to get back to me, and then I got it back to discover they didn't repair it. I dunno, maybe the're more retarted than they seem, but when I get home from work tonight I'll give this a try and see if I can get it working again. Ooohhh, installing motherboards in laptops is FTL.
Frost 0 Report post Posted January 26, 2006 my PC.... no monitor. AMD 64 3700+ = 250.00 (235)Nforce 4 PCI-Ex Mobo + Aspire case w/ Temp + 4.1 Speakers = 175.00 (65+73+27)-20(coupon)Aspire 520W. Power supply + DvD - ROM + 1GBRAM = 172.00 (56+24+86) - 10(coupon)X850 XT 256 MB Video Card – 215.00 (199.99) this was a hard to find deal. Parts = 766Shipping = 76 – 30$ discounts…. Total = 812.00 after everything. Add 2 hrs to put it all together… so yea 812$ for the monster PC i have is nothing. by the way the X850 XT is prolly one of the best cards untill the new 1800s and soo forth come out. Nomad.Thats a nice comp dude But to save some money you could have bought a ''unlocked'' x800 GTO (unlocked means that you can overclock it and mod it) and mod and overclock it to a x850XT since both card uses the same chipset. But youd probably need a better VGA cooler... but its a detail ^^; DAMN i so want a new comp!!!!
Xea 0 Report post Posted January 26, 2006 Thats a nice rig, I'm saving a little more for the dual core amd though. They are supposed to go down in price but I don't see any dramatic changes. So I have to keep saving up.

Frost 0 Report post Posted January 27, 2006 Instead of buying one, since I dont have the money right now and I wont have for a while (I dont work right now, and when Ill work it'll be for my car, so no money for a comp), so Ill be boosting the one I have right now, Ill try to overclock it a bit so it can become better than what I have. Ill try to fix a Pentium1 processor heatsink and fan on my VGA chip so it can be even more cold, and Ill be able to pack it with more performances
