Hi Again Shoop and the Forgotten Prophets!

Hey, its been along time. This is Amaroq, former GM of the former guild Intrepid. (as you can tell by all the formers, i havent been around for a while ) We used to be pretty tight, and pretty close to a merger and stuff like that. But thats long gone.

 

Its good to see that you guys are still around and goin strong. I just happened to be stopping by the Skullcrusher forums, and I saw that you got Ragnaros down and Razorgore. Thats awesome! Gratz.

 

 

Shoop. I moved over to one of the newer PvP servers, Ursin, once I came back to playing the game(after having my stint w/ Immortality, and having to leave because of taking on a demanding job). I rolled a female NE rogue on Ursin named Stargaze(i couldnt stand to be a cloth wearer again ). Its been a very fun and successful trip for me on Ursin. As of now, im Rank 10, and the GM of one of the top 2 guilds on the alliance side, <Seraphin>(alot of people like to say were number 1, since we PvP alot as well, instead of being PvE whores, but i prefer to be modest). Seraphin has been on Ragnaros for about 2 weeks now, but were still workin on Fire Resist gear, because we cant seem to get him down past 50% yet.

 

Anyway, i was just excited to see that FP is still around and doin well. Figured Ide throw you some gratz, and let you know where I ended up.

hey dude i've been wondering what happened to you

 

Make sure you bring hundreds (literally) of Fire Prot Pots to every Rag attempt... it makes at least a 50% difference ... we also bring dps pots and flasks. Gear up the warriors and rogues and you're good to go

 

Glad to hear you guys are doing well though If you ever want to make a hordie we've started up on Smolderthorn .. maybe after you get 14 on your rogue I guess

lots and lots of Fire protection pots. and tell everyone to go get FR gear and help them out with the guild bank too. Warriors and rogues first =D

Be sure to have all your melee back off when they get the CT Raid warning. And when you get the warning... have your MT and OT count to 3 or 4 in their head and have them taunt. OT first then MT second.

 

And make sure EVERYONE spreads out!

A sac. ri. fice. is always required also. Perferrably, an officer. Even better a Healin officer. For the best results... Stangmeister. muhaha

No shoop. Im not at GSU anymore. I fucked my grades up due to the fraternity and WoW, so Im livin at home right now. Im actually about to get my own place in the next month or so. But right now im just workin and playin WoW.

 

I may roll a hordie on Smolderthorn. I been wantin to roll a horde char anyway. Is your guild name the same? What level are you guys?

Hey Amaroq, I wondered if you dropped off the face of the earth or something. Apparently close enough.

 

Only the melee guys need high FR. Have your priests/druids/pallies get as much mana/HP as possible, your locks/mages get as much +dmg as possible...the hunters want a mix of both stats and FR. Your MT needs 325 FR.

 

Make sure you have 3 fire protection (why does everyone call them resist?) potions for everyone when you make a serious attempt. I use 3 per fight when we take him down.

 

Flasks are nice, but really the only necessary ones are on the tanks (titans). Shadow power stacks with arcane elixers. Both of those stack with supreme power flasks. FYI.

 

Aim for 45% or lower on Rag before he submerges. If you can get that on a dry run (not counting the MT flask) then don't waste potions because a good run will see rag drop below 40% at least before sons when using potions.

 

Get everyone into position before the sons spawn (usually call it at 20 seconds). The fight goes 3 minutes of rag time, 1:30 of sons, 3 minutes of rag time, and so forth... This last time I took him down, we killed all the sons before the 1:30 mark but he didn't repop until the timer was up (although other times when we killed the sons before the timer he repoped...bug perhaps? We were all just standing around picking our noses for the next 30 seconds out of boredom...lol). The sons are all about crowd control and focus fire. The locks should banish a single target at the onset, but don't rebanish anything or it'll sit there banished and run your time down, fears are good, as are frost novas. The best crowd control is having a tank take on 3 at a time away from the casters, though...4 tanks * 3 sons = no casters getting burnt. Really, the sons are the hardest part of the encounter, and once you get it down it's so retardedly easy.

Hey, I'm makin a horde char on Smolderthorn. Its a shaman named Amaroq. I'll be playin there pretty often, since i dont really have time to play on Ursin right now, with all the Rag and BWL shit. I'm workin 2 jobs now, and Seraphin is workin hard on Rag; so if i stay playin there, i'll just be holdin them back. Because of that, i stepped down from GM; and i wont be playin there for at least a month until i get some RL stuff straightened out. So hit me up on Smolderthorn if you see me.
