Sulfuras, Hand of Ragnaros

Kind of following suit to the Thunderfury post ill throw this up as well. Who knows maybe we will get our first eye on Friday

 

Sulfuron hammer is a craftable item. After reaching exalted with the Thorium brotherhood (blacksmith) you are given a quest to receive the recipe. You need a quest drop from Ragnaros and 1x Sulfuron Ignot.

 

Sulfuron Hammer

8x Sulfuron Ignot

20x Dark Iron Bar

50x Arcanite Bar

25x Essence of Fire

10x Blood of the Mountain

10x Lava Core

10x Firey Core

 

After obtaining the Eye of Sulfuras (3-4% drop from Ragnaros) you combine it with the Sulfuron Hammer to obtain Sulfuras, Hand of Ragnaros.

Mmmm....I'd like to craft one of these babies for FP one day.

That thing makes me wish that I was still a BS...

I give you permission siege. As a priest I can yield it so go ahead craft me up on of thsoe babies.

*edit* nm it is two hand. Altho I have never seen Rag act like it was too heavy or for that cause use two hands to kill me with it..... >.<

I will do what I can to help someone get Exalted with them, bug me in game and I will help out. I very badly want this thing, and I realise many others do too, so If we can work on it we can start gearing people =)

 

 

I know we can only do so much supplying, but lets try to do what we can.

This would benefit the guild imensely.

Siegeman is already revered although I imagine it would take quite a bit to get to exhalted. Not sure how many people can make it on our server but I know Haniel can. Im sure he would be happy to make it if we ever got enough ignots together

Dayum. That's a ton of resources. Might not be a bad idea to start stockpiling them now if we're actually going to attempt to get this built. Mainly the 50 arcanite bars. Dayum.

yeah, i think every 2h mace wielding character has been after this ever since they laid eyes on it being spammed with WTS on the IF channel haha

 

the 50 arcanites are the worst thing by far imho, going at a rate of about 16g per arcane crystal, were looking at 800g just in crystals, and thats not including transmutes.

 

and btw, have we already got a blacksmith whos exalted with TB? i know siege is revered; how far are you from exalted? im a little way through honoured, still need to farm that DA ore

Haniel from Immo has offered to make us the base hammer if need be. That part is not BoP.

If people are interested in helping out so one day we would be /uber-famous then any Dark Iron Ore, for rep, or Arcane Crystals as part of the mats would be greatly appreciated.

Trib mesagsed me today and told me he could make me a Blackguard http://www.thottbot.com/?i=40781 , I'm assuming he's exalted at this point if he says he can make it. Now where could one find 12 firey core and 12 lava cores ? Might be saving for a while ,lol. There like 120-150g each at AH. Humm like 4000g Way I fiugre it I should have one by 2007 .

What a kick ass blade that thing is though! Oh I'm not even sure how smithing works,lol. He can make swords does that mean he cant make hammers probably huh?

Eventually we will get to the point where all classes are comfortable with their FR gear that we make from the cores. I assume that at that point we will put the cores up for sale at a HEAVILY discounted price to our members.

I dont think the arcanite is a huge problem. Just keep an eye out for people spamming deals on crystals in IF. My roomates bro bought like 4 crystals for 14g the other day. For some reason every other rich thorium vein in ungoro seems to pop out a crystal for me.

hey nomad, yeah that sword is good,. but i would have thought its better for tanking with the extra sta and parry %..

 

anyway, blackguard is available to swordsmiths at exalted with TB. at the moment, im about a third of the way through honoured, and ive calculated that it should take me about another 145 stacks of DA ore to get to revered. from revered to exalted will take around 654 dark iron ore stacks (and thats if your a human). the alternative from revered to exalted is to hand in around 164 fiery/lava cores.

 

now obviously, this is quite the expense, and ultimately it would be awesome to have one of each of the tradeskills trees at revered/exalted.

 

does anyone know how many players we have at that rank?

I believe Aelora and Bentley are enchanters exhalted with TB. Correct me if I am wrong.

Sulfuron Hammer (http://www.thottbot.com/?i=40119)- all Blacksmiths can obtain this. To receive the plans you must bring a single Sulfuron Ingot (http://thottbot.com/?i=27743) which drops from Golemagg the Incinerator (drop rates: Thottbot (http://thottbot.org/?i=27743) / Allakazam (http://wow.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?witem=17203)). There is no reputation requirement for the plans and you need only have an ingot in your inventory when you speak to him.
