Anyone else planning on getting this game? http://www.borderlandsthegame.com/

I can't even begin to describe how many levels of inbreeding awesomeness this game seems to bring together.

The narrator for Trailer 3 sounds like the guy from Shadow Warrior. "Whooo waaanta some Wang?!"

Chris has been on my ass to get an XBox specifically for this game, which I'm not going to do. It looks pretty amazing but it's available for PS3 too.... which we all know is the superior system.

Yawn PS3 and Blu-ray. The only reason I'm tempted to get a PS3 is the recent price drop. Before that it was trash console with lame platform only games save for like MGS. Resistance is decent at best imo. Uncharted is Tomb Raider with better graphics.

EDIT: I suppose lame isn't the word. It's a console released TOO early, with TOO much power that couldn't be used at the time. When it came out no game came close to meeting the PS3's full potential. That is not okay imo.

If you say uncharted is like tomb raider, you can say the same for just about every game out there dude. Halo is Marathon with better graphics, which is just like every other FPS on the planet. Forza is Gran Turismo, the list goes on for every game. What's important when it comes down to it: is the game fun? Also the PS2 had the same thing going on with the OP tech that no developers really reached potential of until the end of the console's life. It does suck that you don't get the amazing games right out of the gate, but at the same time it's not like the first wave of games looked bad. And all the games coming out now look amazing. Uncharted 2 looks like a damn interactive movie.

blu ray support is far from yawn!! it's amazing esp. since HD DVD hit the fan (sry xbox). given the complete validity of the second portion of your comment, bluray was/is ps3's saving grace. Just like when people in japan and elsewhere were buying PS2's solely as a dvd player because they were cheaper than actual dvd players, so it is tru for the bluray. Even now, blue ray players can suffer from very laggy boot up and initializing time, which ps3 does not because it's OP.

but yeh the game selectino and quality were a bit low considering the capabilities. But that's not sony's fault for being OP is it? im not sure how it works TBH but i give them kudos for building a ferrari even tho the speed limit is 55. and that ferrari plays bluray!! woohoo. looks sick on my LCD tv.

:grin::eek::-):?:-(:-o:eek::-)

Everything about uncharted reminds me of Tomb Raider. So when I said it, I didn't mean it just to knock the game for using the same ideal. It's just what tomb raider would be if we saw it through a guy's perspective with less ridiculousness that was Tomb Raider. Forza IS Gran Turismo, I dunno why people don't think it is. It plays wicked similar if not just a tiny bit more realistic.

I see your point with the PS2, the only difference is that while people weren't able to use the PS2 to it's full potential right out of the gate, they at least kept good single platform games for us to play while it was there. It also came out when the competition was perfect. What did the PS2 have to worry about? The PS1, and N64? Pft. Even when the original Xbrick came out PS2 owned it under the rug. This time around they should have came with a list of hits. It's wicked sad that 2 Resistances have come out and yet they didn't have anything good in between them imo. I prefer PlayStation over Microsoft any day. But quite frankly I think they messed up this time around, at least for now. The price drop recently was the best move they've made imo, and I'm finally considering getting one, but I do disagree I think with the exception of resistance all the first PS3 games looked bad. I only point out Resistance cause it played like every other average shooter, and you can't really go wrong with that I guess.

Also Killerpriest Blu-ray is a yawn. I like movies just as much as the next guy, I spend most of my life watching movies. Even still after finally watching movies on Blu-ray I was underwhelmed needless to say. I have a real nice TV, so I expected to be floored, and I just wasn't. Also your example works perfectly. They built a sports car, in a residential area where the speed limit is 55. Grats your "car" may look nice, may drive well, but you're not even using it's full potential, and paid a crazy price to enjoy like half of what your car is worth. Ridiculous.

it's funny though that some games look better on 360 than they do on the ps3, one example is the ghost busters game.

anyway on topic, pre-ordered borderlands last night for PC.

Ditto!

Oh, and are you guys saying my bluray player is also a gaming console?...That explains why my remote looks like a controller.

I'm definitely looking into this game, but anything I'd play for more than a month has to be a PC release or it ain't worth consideration. Period.

really?? do you have a HDTV cable box? I find people that are already used to watching HDTV aren't really that impressed with bluray. I on the other hand went from a 29" magnavox TV from 1994 to my 37" JVC 1080p about 2 years ago. i was like AMMMGG this is AWESOME!! and i have a nice 7.1 surround system set up so my viewing experience is pretty rad. but yeh i went from a fuzzy 480x600 resolution to 1080p lol :mrgreen::wub1:

However, not that it needs to be pointed out... but blu-ray is what it is, in that it's the only way to get 1080p HD movies. upconverted dvd's can't even come close. HDdvd didn't take off, so it' sthe only option for HD movies. The only way i can see someone not appreciating bluray amazingness, is if you are already accustomed to watching HD programming.

BACON !! ---> im a big fan of pc gaming, but i am always an early adopter of new consoles (and their redic. pricetags) so i guilt myself into buying console games. I'll probably get borderlands for PS3.

Or if you're trolling and talking smack about every topic for one reason or another. =D
