10-Man Ulduar

Looking to un-pug a 10-man Ulduar that would start later on Thursday, April 23rd. Start time would have to be between 9-10 and I'm looking for 2 tanks, 3 healers, 3 ranged and 2 melee.

Tanks:

HP: 28k unbuffed

102.4% avoidance with holy shield up, raid buffed

must be capable of breaking 1.5k dps

Druids should have more HP of course, Paladins may have slightly less. 2-H wielding DK's may also have a bit lower (25k?).

Healers:

1900 spellpower

Druid tree: 250mp5 in combat

Priest: 250- 300mp5 in combat

Spell DPS:

1750-1800 minimum depending on classes

Ranged DPS:

RAP: 3000-3500 .. I had a low number here because of armorylite calling RAP "EFF RAP" and throwing me off)

Melee DPS:

AP: 3000

High HP is useful, so let's say, 15-16k health

Feanore automatically gets a melee spot if he asks.

Experience not needed (definitely as asset) This run is mainly to get us all some gear replacements. First come, first serve.

I'm game, but from my initial experience with Ulduar I think your gear requirements are a bit low. A very skilled player on their lesser-geared alt makes up for a lot of course... But I would never take a 1700 spellpower healer to Ulduar unless I was really confident in them and knew of a good reason why they didn't have better gear than that yet.

These early Ulduar bosses are no joke! So let's get a truly solid group together and rock it without getting frustrated because some aren't prepared. :)

I could be available on Brightpetra (tankadin) or Fatherpeteus (holy priest). I have dps dual-specs, but can't figure out how to make shadow dps work yet! :P

I think your gear requirements are pretty low as well. Uludar isn't a joke.

I was basing some of it off another forum, thanks for letting me know.

I adjusted healers and casters. Tanks/Melee I'm still unsure of. I do know that most of you are decently geared so I wasn't too worried.

My druid is sitting at 2000k+ healing with amazing mana regen, so if anyone has any suggestions on tanks or anything, please let me know.

bright, lemme know what you can come on. You're one of my fave Pallywalls, so I definitely wouldn't say no to you being Maintank.

Fifi, you in? Raven?

For comparison - Bright and Eria tanked a run last night with Breanna, Katalila and another tree healer, and five DPS who were all doing 3k+ dps with 10-man buffs... And we got two bosses down, one to ~30%, and one nowhere close (I gather most guilds have been skipping that one for their progression.) My repair bill was right around 200g.

So rather than trying to figure out what the magic AP number is, I'd encourage you to look for people who have been seriously raiding 25-man Naxx, Sarth +D, etc..., and the gear level should be close to the "Epic" acheivement (25-man Naxx gear in every slot).

That may seem harsh, but the thing is we don't know these fights yet. Trying to learn as you go plus the fights are just plain hard... Add in not really having enough gear to likely beat the enrage timers, and you'd kindof be wasting your time.

So - Only serious raiders for now, please! (Until gear levels creep up and we figure out all the tricks with the new bosses. The fights are very creative!) :D

For further reference, we did Ulduar over the weekend and did pretty damn well. Not that we didn't have our share of wipes but on Friday we got Flame LAWLviathon with 1 beacon up, Razorscale and XT-002. We also got Ignis to about 28ish% before packing it in. (rumor is that they have since nerfed a couple of aspects of the Ignis fight significantly: fire does 20% less dmg and such)

We went back Sunday and got Kologarn, Auriaya, Iron Council, Freya, and Hodir.

Kaslor, Ratava and Plagueyou were the tanks.

Retsnimle and Ravenheart healed with Katra switching back and forth from healing to dmg depending on the fight. (Thank you dual spec)

Shikimaru, Drunknduncan, Althaia and I (Tutuba) were the DPS.

I'm pretty sure that at least 5 of our members have never seen Naxx 25. Use the Armory to get an idea of what you will need (along with a ton of skill and coordination, which I'm sure you all have).

There are alot of fights right now where everyone has to be perfect for you to be successful so be prepared to wipe quite a bit. We were fortunate to have a group with 10 very aware players so it was pretty smooth, for the most part.

Good luck in there.

I would have to agree to Ghosty. Blizz did not create this game to punish casual players or guilds that does not do Naxx 25 or guilds that does not have the manpower to do 25 mans. So, as long the group have full Naxx 10 gear, Ulduar 10 will not be a road block. I remember reading the gear requirement somewhere saying something like this ... forgot the link.

Good luck and I hope everyone enjoy Ulduar.

Should have mentioned - It would definitely help to have someone along who actually knows the strats for the bosses... And the trash! Million-hp trash with fancy tricks, in a 10-man raid... Can be serious bzns!

I'm sure people have different mindsets about this for their personal fun, but I'm happy for someone else to figure out where the raid should be standing. :)

Always stand behind the boss.... unless you're fighting Freya.

That's about all I am allowed to say. I signed a non-disclosure contract when I joined my 10 man. xD

Elitists

Stang where's our forum pic? I heard rumor you have it just won't post!

But more to the point, the bosses I have done in Ulduar don't seem terribly hard. Some bosses we picked up the strat and fight quickly,\ and down the boss in a few attempts, while others took longer. The better the gear the more wiggle room you have for learning the fight. That being, said almost every fight at this point requires all or at least 8 or 9 people to be alive to complete, so raid competency is a must. The place is definately fun, and the boss fights seem fairly different than other instances.

I don't have close to the epic achievement apparently even with full epics, but I put out close to 3k dps selfbuffed.

It's all about rotation baby all about rotation.

Pwny only does 10-man Ulduar so we get saved. I'm sure a few of us would be down for 25-man Ulduar or 25-man Naxx.
