Recovery.gov up

www.recovery.gov is up now since the pres signed the stimulus into law.

Love the plan or hate it, this is a pretty awesome tool to track where the money is going, instead of it being given out behind closed doors. The transparency is long overdue imo!

It doesn't say who got what $ exactly yet, but if you look at the bottom there is a timeline as to when we should start seeing updates for who is getting what and how much.

Neat!

So I briefly read that the 15K tax credit was removed from the stimulus package, is there truth to this? ( I read it in the AJC so I'm assuming it is.) It's nice to see where the $ is going.

Tarnation! We found the conservatives! Now if you would all kindly step into this rickety boat I've prepared, I have a lovely tour of Niagra falls planned.

So Stang, is this the $7500 one that was already in place, or is this 8k one a smaller version of the 15k one? 8k or 10% of the cost of the house, depending on which is smaller and no pay back?

Curious minds need to knows!

I love how the 8k is not retroactive so all I can get is the $7.5k that has to be repaid, what a waste.

yeah it's dumb but what can ya do :) Without reading any of the fine print, is this money you subtract from your income when you file or do they actually refund you this whole amount?

lol speaking of fine print.. I'm finding these gems

© SUBPOENA POWER.—Section 249 of the

Trade Act of 1974 (19 U.S.C. 2321) is amended—

(1) in the section heading, by striking ‘‘SUBPENA’’

and inserting ‘‘SUBPOENA’’;

(2) by striking ‘‘subpena’’ and inserting ‘‘subpoena’’

each place it appears

There are paragraphs of things like this. Someone didn't spell check, so they have to add things like this in.. it's funny to me.. cause I'm weird like that >.>
