Aigle 0 Report post Posted February 5, 2009 I am going for the achievement that is called Hero of Northrend, I think. Yesterday I have cleared HoL, but it took me a few days to find an easy way to kill last boss. He is really annoying with his nature damage AOE, where you have to run out and in all the time. Always ended up we lost the healer or all our dps along the course of those in-out runs. Yesterday I had a Shammy healer. First try was a wipe. With his nature resist totem up (+ 130 NR) I suggested we try to stay in all the time and voilà we killed Loken under two minutes for achievement and no wipes it was easy mode. Obviouly this was never full FP runs, most of the time it was pugs, I am a pug type of guy, since I cannot really raid with you guys due to time constraints. When you are in pugs as you know, anything complex do not work so this is why I made this post. As I know some of us pug instances pretty often. Now its time to do Oculus and I will be done. I have never been in Oculus but I think there will be some learnings to be made before success. For the record: to me the HoS third encounter is most probably the most demanding of all heroics maybe along Azjol-Nerub last boss, even though I have done those two on first try with one or two wipes maximum but I had a really good group. Aigle 0 Report post Posted February 6, 2009 I have killed first boss of H Oculus ez mode yesterday. Then my wonderful pug healer deced and that was it. At least I know how the dragons work and fist fight. If anyone is interested In helping me doing H Oculus tonight I'll be online from 6:30.
